varali ,
She watched. The sun was setting and Varali was going to make sure that she saw it this time. Honestly, she didn't know what she liked more. The day, or the night. In truth, she was a child of the night, though she'd admit it. Most of the 'bad' wolves liked the night, and Varali didn't want to be 'bad.' However, the sun really got on her nerves. She wasn't a fan of heat nor bright lights, so why would it make sense to like the day? In the end, her internal conflict had been solved by just going with the sunset. It was warm but not hot, light but not bright, and just the perfect dimness. This cliff, she'd found, was the perfect place to watch it all, too. Varali had found the Nozomi lands maybe around a month back, but days had gone by quickly with her exploring and observing.
Observing, you may ask, what the heck do you mean by observing? Well, just that! Varali found that watching the wolves living around here was a good way to decide what they were mostly like. Quite frankly, she could not figure it out. Despite her sleepless nights filled with thoughts and debates, every single wolf she watched around here was... well, completely their own. No one she'd seen had been like another. No generic good wolves, but no badass evil wolves, either. They were not open nor secretive, and none really seemed to be terribly annoyed yet by anyone else... or so she'd seen. Well, that would change rather quickly if Varali decided that she wanted to be a part of this pack. Varali had a horrible temper, and knew it.
This did not make the she-wolf very happy. You see, Varali tried so very hard since birth to be the wolf that everyone wanted her to be, but that just didn't happen. She was too much like her father. Pfh, father. She scoffed at the word. He'd taken himself and her brother away from the family. Of course, she used the term 'brother' loosely, he'd hated her since the moment he became re-acquainted with her. Quite frankly, though, Varali didn't give two damns. It was an indifference in her mind. She was better at being bad, he was better at being good, but that would never happen. He had chosen her path and she had chosen hers... hadn't she? Or maybe this wasn't the life that she'd picked. Well, there were some things that she would just never know, huh?
Her blue eyes reflected the pink sky there were gazing out at. Her dark, shiny black pelt was tinted with navy; this was the perfect sunlight to be able to tell just what color it really was. An array of blue shading swirled freely about the she-wolf's slim black pelt. She wasn't large and she never would be large, and that was just something she'd have to put up with. However, she knew that her razor-sharp fangs and claws weren't there for nothing. Her ears were much too large for the rest of her body, adding for a comical image to her, but the only thing comical about her was her sarcastic sense of humor and her awkward struggle to be nice. She was laying on her stomach, long forepaws streched out before her and crossed gently, and her head layed on her paws while her thick, long tail swayed back and forth in the thin layer of dust on the brown rock.
Varali, because of who she was, wanted to wait to come in actual contact with any other wolf. She wanted to get a feel for the other types of wolves that were in this pack, but she was struggling. 'Maybe,' she thought, 'if I met someone and really talked to them... it'd make more sense. Or maybe they're just all different.' Her thoughts caused her to snort, and shake her head. 'Yeah, right.' She thought again. Varali stood and streched back, and then yawned softly. She didn't eat much dead animal... it didn't taste good in her opinion. Because of this, her blood was a little anemic, and she got tired often. She layed back down, looking around quickly, making sure she had no stalkers (you never knew who you'd meet) and then layed her head back onto her paws.
Lazy evening, right?
