The heat. Had he meant to follow the rogue carrion over the tops of the trees and into the lengthened strip of flat land? Perhaps. Or was it the twitch of curiosity for a land that he had not yet seen? Nevertheless the reason, regret was slowly twittering about his subconscious. Needless to say the weather was well natured, a brisk air breathing ever so slightly against the grass below, entertained at their flurried dance while few clouds treaded ever so slowly across the eye-burningly-bright sky. Succumbing to the fact his eyes had decided to long ago become sensitive to direct exposure to the sun with no sort of forewarning, the travel-worn male kept his eyes mostly closed for his slow trek along the grassy plateau, relying on his ears to guide him deeper into into the land. It was not until the bottom of his hardened paws sunk into a small puddle of water from recent rains did he start, slowly prying his eyes open to examine the shallow depths. A cloud of dust from his sudden intrusion rose to the surface of the water, obscuring any sort of reflection he may have been able to gain from the natural mirror, therefore loosing interest in it, he pulled his now soaked paw out and shook it a bit, enjoying the feeling of the air against the now chilled limb. It didn't take him long to notice how much he must stand out against the land around him, his thick white coat blaring obnoxiously against the multitude of colors and hues. Of course. Feeling the stress of travel come upon him(though he knew not why, a rather pleasant and leisurely few days were spent at a riverbed before continuing to move forward not too long ago), he stopped a few feet short of the small puddle of water and laid down into the thick legion of grass, pin-point like pupils averting to a small insect who was attempting to climb a particularly long strand. He could feel the heat of the sun upon the grass where he lay on his side, its presence demanding the male's attention through consistent waves upon the wind, and he began to wonder if this small creature could indeed feel the sun's wrath and how well it repelled it. How, almost as if clockwork, it did not go mad from its relentless lashes and instead shrugged it away, fluttering its wings and taking to wind, leaving the wolf behind to lay in the assumed unmarked territory for however long he seemed fit. What a fine, warm day it was indeed.

Audria I look into myself, To find my own heart has been changed
Water The word sent shivers down her spine. She looked up, the light from the sun sending rays down below the surface of the water. Normally, this type of water would scare the fur off of her body, but for some reason, today it didn't. She let herself float to the top of the water, her head bursting above the surface. She paddled her way to the shore, already gasping from holding her breath underwater. Audria hesitated, letting the chill of the wind pass through her soaking fur before giving her body a full shake. She sent water spraying in all directions, sending reflections of light from the sun dancing around her.
She sighed after her shaking was done, her fur still wet. She laughed softly, her defenses down for the time being. No one was around, it was just her, the smaller animals, and plants. The way she liked it. Casting a glance over her shoulder, she smiled at the larger creek she had just bathed in. It had been weeks since she could wash off all the grime, it felt good to be clean. Her fear of water normally was too much for her to be able to clean herself properly, but, for some reason, she felt safe today. It had been a long time since she felt safe.
Audria turned, lifting her face to the welcoming day around her. It felt so nice out today, this land so peaceful. It was a nice feeling. One she hadn't had since she we a pup, playing with her brother. At that thought, her expression grew blank, and she turned to the grasses that laid before her, her mood saddened almost instantly. Such thoughts ruined a day such as the one she lived in now.
Her mind was guarded, but she still didn't expect the sudden pressure of another's emotions suddenly attacking her. She had stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes wide as her heart pounded as the pressure quickly built along her poorly built defenses. She hadn't though about someone coming near her, she didn't make the thing like she should have, and now she was being punished for it. She hadn't expected the sudden attack, and so, she was struggling to keep it out of her mind. She closed her eyes, struggling to image a solid barrier surrounding her. She had to get it up.. If she didn't then the pressure would cause her to black out. Again. Then the pressure released some. She gave a sigh of relief, the pain that had stirred slowly draining away... but it was tugging her forward. She frowned, sighing. It always did this. It wouldn't stop until she went out of range from the wolf, or she confronted them. She knew this all too well. Grim memories stirred, but she pushed them aside as she pushed aside a patch of grass, moving through the field as quickly as she could, following the dull tugging feeling at the front of her head. She knew it would lead her to a wolf, lead her to someone she probably wouldn't like... But oh well.
Audria panted softly as she looked at the position of the sun, frowning at the sight. She had paused in her trek through the grasses, the heat getting to her briefly. She stopped to cool down, her fur already dried. She could see it waving in the breeze now, the dark blue shifting to white as the wind blew, revealing the roots of her fur. She had grown accustomed to the shift in her fur ever since her eyes first opened and she found that was abnormal. She didn't care, her brother had had brown and red fur like her own. Inhaling a deep breath, Audria continued with her brisk pace. She scanned the surrounding area, but for some reason, she didn't really see it. All she was aware of was that is was warm out, and that she was heading in the right direction. The something caught her eye, and froze. She turned slowly, her eye catching some white. She gasped, taking a step back. She hadn't expected to find the wolf so soon. Recovering from her surprise, she hastily remembered her manners. "Sorry for the intrusion, sir." The words stumbled out of her mouth, and her mouth grew dry. Yes, she was shy, and no, she did not like talking to others. "I am Audria Storm, might I of your own name?" She asked, dipping her head in a pathetic attempt of a bow. Her words were dripping in accent from further south, where her home was. Well, wasn't this a nice way to introduce one's self. She sighed, lowering her gaze. Her father would've swung at her with his large paw had she done that in front of him. He would've lunged at her with teeth bared if she greeted him in such a manner. She shook her head slightly, as though to banish the thoughts and memories from those thoughts. It never worked, but it didn't hurt to try.

"Can you hear them sighing?" Softly was this spoken, syllables sticking to the tips of his lips as he continued to lay still among the sea of grass, blades beginning to tickle in inside of his left ear and nose. Though he acknowledged her, yes, the importance of picking himself up from his claimed place to greet her was of hardly any concern to him at the current moment, eyes closed yet head perked upwards as though listening to a phantom whisper its dark desires. “So impatient...but what do they expect? we are not Gods fashioned of bronze nor are we eternal,” he paused at this, eyes suddenly flying open so that he may lay his pin-point gaze upon the girl, body unstirred by the the movement, “do you understand?” could she? A shell attempting to be full, and yet, there is nothing but emptiness. What sight could the otherwise insignificant bug hold to survive so well, that the two wolves in the never ending field strive so hard to understand, to live by? The movement was sudden, though insignificant. Twisting himself about almost violently so that he may find himself upon his feet once more, thinned stomach pressed tightly against the ground below as he searched. For what, it was not apparent, though his muzzle gently pushed aside the lengthened strands as though they were fragile strips of ice ready to be torn from their frozen place. It was as though time stood for his search, wind calming in its soft sigh only to pick up once more when he found his prize. “Here...look.” Yet another whisper passed through him, adjusting his weight so that he was sitting upright, brilliantly bright blue eyes concentrated immensely on his chosen destination. Lifting up the once soaked paw, he paused, as if to calculate exactly where he would place it, then lowered it softly on the ground below; pawing ever so softly before a small sprig was suddenly revealed below the dirt. “Yet it lives. As if clockwork, burns the tide of reality and feeds from the ashes. Are we all phoenix's eggs?” as confused as he was at the course of life for the hidden plant still reaching its own level of maturity beyond its birthing, he failed to notice Audria at first, so deep consumed in a mental plight he was once told that was far beyond his comprehension. Audria. What a particular name for a creature to hold, yet before had he heard things of a more bland state. His eyes seemed to focus into reality once more as he shifted them from the small sprig to the female, blinking a few times before tsk'ing his tongue lightly. “Names, names, names! Must we label ourselves? what could I be in the sea of green? call me snow, or the clouds!” He paused, voice lowering as though he was lost in his own train of thought and attempting to sift past it all for the sake of public conversation. “You may call me Moonshaft, for it is the only label that I know.” At that he turned to her, narrowing his eyes with confusion at her own interest towards him.

Audria I look into myself, To find my own heart has been changed
Aurdia blinked at the wolf. He was talking nonsense, but she watched him as he spoke of sighing. She strained her ears to hear the sighing, but alas, she heard nothing but the wind in her ears. "Sir, I believe that if I knew what was sighing, I may be able to answer if I understood. At the moment, I do not, for all I can hear is the wind. If that is of what you speak, then yes. I can hear the wind in the grass, just as well feel it blow my fur." She said slowly, blinking.
Then he twisted, and she jumped back at the sudden movement. Her eyes wide as he moved around, revealing a small plant from under the ground. "We truly come from dust, and when we die, we return to the state of dust. Everything on the world is made of the same material, somehow, for we all came from one. When we die, others will live off out death. We will give them life, and when they die, they will give life to others. So in a way, I suppose one could be called by such a bird. For, in reality, we are all one, yet we are separated by the paths we each take... So, while we are one, we each hold a part of life and are in a way, reborn again and again in a never ending cycle of death and life." She added, sounding confident. Then she reviewed her words, and she knew a puzzled expression crossed her face. What had she just said?
She blinked, trying to recall the words she had said to figure them out. Then she looked at the wolf, a suspicious gaze locked on him. She had a feeling, some of his feelings were leaking through her barrier. Great.
Then his next words came forth, and she stared at him. "Labels are nice when referring to one out of a large crowd. If such a large crowd was to gather, and I called you 'Sir', sir, then several male wolves would look at me and not know who I was talking to. So, labels are useful. They are are more polite than saying 'Hey you, yada yada.' It is rude to approach one with such words, for it would mean you take no heed of who they are. We are all different, and not taking notice of one's individuality is as rude as throwing them in a fire and saying 'Sorry, I didn't mean to get half your fur burnt off'" She frowned, looking at the wolf, looking at her with a confused expression.
She stayed like that for a few moments before twitching her ear, and relaxing her muscles. "Nice meeting ya' Moonshaft." She said suddenly, a rather wide grin finding its way to her lips. How long had it been since she smiled? She pondered this, then cast the thought away. She didn't want to sour the mood.
"How did you come across this land?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. Finally, no more puzzling words... "Nice weather, today. However, nice weather is normally followed shortly by storms." She turned her head to the skies, as though she could see the storm coming now. Her eyes shone with the anticipation, she could already feel new electricity flowing through her after a lightening zap, the new energy replacing the old... That would be nice...
Her eyes reluctantly turned back to the male, awaiting his reactions to her words... half of which she had no idea what they meant, or where they came from. That seemed to be happening a lot... huh.. How odd...

He stayed silent as she spoke, watching her intently as her words flowed about his mind, in which he grew, almost, disappointed. Ears folding themselves backwards whilst his expression turned blank for only that of a second before reverting to having his full attention upon the girl, though unable to shake the feeling that he was beginning to grow mad from the warmth of the valley. Labels. Storms. Corpse dust. “I pity you, for you cannot see. Being blind, is it painful? knowing that you can only see the world through the glass mirror, but never beyond its broken shards?” he thought, surely, this could be confusing to her, that she could glimpse upon these cosmos but understand them. Though, he had met many blind others like herself, more often than not he found himself to be caste away to the transient lands from whence he came; so presumption that perhaps a plague had come to spread across the land inducing deaf and blindness laced within the roads which he traveled. Yet he stayed unaffected? Was he a prophet come to lift the veil of deception and reality? Though many a day had been spent thinking so, long ago had be banished the idea, for prophets are well revered, and the most that followed him was the occasional bush rat for the sake of food. “I detest our demanded names, for they do naught but track us, waiting, watching for the moment when we may be cornered and pushed against the brink of death for the sheer sake of recognizance. How it is that you stand it, it reaches beyond me.” His voice dropped to a low murmur, ears flattening once more in irritation before pushing himself up to his fullest height. Rather large was he for his breed, though the tall frame and excessive amount of fur betrayed a thinned weight, little the barrier being between skin and bone save for the natural muscle that slowly crept along stringy sinew. Perhaps if he was fatter it would push more of a barrier between him and the bitter cold, though how he enjoyed it so, wishing fruitlessly that he had wandered into an eternally wintered valley instead of that of a spring blossomed plateau. Blinking a few times to demand his light eyes grow accustomed to the sun's light now before they become stubborn too soon into the day, he took in a deep breath and held it, glancing towards the trees behind him from whence he came, then forwards once more, attempting to find an end to the grass. “A pleasure to be had Aurdia, don't forget this moment too quickly.” He breathed, voice rasped ever so slight, yet, calm and fluid. “I know not how I found myself here, though the waters spoke to me of a valley holding mystery and discoveries...I believe I have yet to find this place. For there is nothing here but ancient whispers and buried memories,” he cast a glance towards her as he began to move forward in a slow trek, feeling the ground which he walked upon intently, though noticing how anticipated she was at the ascending clouds, “careful how eager you are for the storm's kiss, it does not know its own power.”

Audria I look into myself, To find my own heart has been changed
Audria nodded slowly, not really hearing what the wolf said. Her attention was drowned in the skies above her head, watching as a few clouds in the distance floated off. When the cloud became too far to see, she caught the last word he said to her. "You have more to fear than a storm." She said, not turning to watch him leave. She turned her eyes back to the skies though, twisting her ears so they laid flat on her head. Her gray eyes seemed lost for a moment, then she blinked. That shattered whatever she had formed, and she suddenly turned to where she thought the male was. "You have a very unique way of thinking. Even though you look not older than I, you see to talk with a sense beyond your age. Might I ask, how did you find out all this? Just wondering around? Exploring? Where are your home lands? You seem to have a different way of speaking than the one where I live, down south." Her eyes shone with questions. This was nothing new to her, she always wanted to know more... and this wolf seemed to know more than she did.
"If you don't mind me asking, that is." She added, looking down as she remembered that she had forgotten her manners. The wolf probably thought her rude, immature, and nothing more than a pup with how she was acting. She didn't want that image.
She sat down, lifting her ears off her head and tilting them forward. Yes, she was eager to hear his response, however, she doubted he would tell her his secret to learning so much, in the time she seemed to have learned nothing.

At this, he laughed, an almost melodic yet calmed tone without a hint of irritation. What a curious thing this Blind creature was, wanting to know so much about one who is able to See, and yet, cannot See themselves. Such people as Audria perplexed him, their craving to know the ways of the world, yet they could not See or Hear the very essence of life itself around them! Confusing indeed he often thought, for how can you teach one to See when they cannot look past the veil of reality? Her mention of having to fear more than the rain that was soon to come upon them and banish the now unbearable heat from the valley caused him to quirk his ears forwards slightly with interest. “Though it was light and but a brush of her lips, She has kissed me before. Fear was not the first upon my mind when she whisked away her love...what is this that you speak of?” He was but a handful of feet away from her when he paused and sat upon his haunches, snowy fur contrasting obnoxiously against the colors around him. Many a time had he wished that he could change the color of his skin to match his surroundings, though more often times than not has he pushed the idea away, be grateful he must be for what small trait he was given he decided. Perhaps it was because he was not Blind to his Mother that she commanded the great ice to bend about? Assured that he will never know, he tried not to think on the matter, for it was always better to accept than to dwell on such trivial things. “My mind's inner clock is not the same as yours?” she did not think of the things as he did? The Blind truly have a disease indeed. “What is it that you discuss with yourself within the eve's? I did not know that the Blind did not notice all. But...that is redundant.” He screwed up a face for a moment, irritated that he confused himself with his own words, though quickly tossed it aside when she asked where it was he was birthed. Confused was he for a brief moment before the memories of his childhood brought themselves to his attention, before scowling and shaking his head quickly. “Many a thing have I seen, for even yourself as a child can glimpse upon the world as I. These lands that you speak of...south? What is this Land of South?” he took a few token steps towards her and sat once more, confused at this place she said she was from. Land of the South? was this a world apart from the one he has wandered and lived upon for the many cycles of the moon? he must see this mysterious Land of South before his passing, perhaps it would hold the mystery that the waters spoke to him of. “I know not of that place, but what is it? a land of bounty? death? does Mother's hand reach across and caress it with her grace...or has she banished it away into the nether?” as thoroughly confused as he was, no doubt it was humorous to Audria, meeting a wolf who had no idea what she was talking about. It surprised him once more when she asked where the place he had derived from was, why would she be interested in such a small thing such as that? “Myself and I come from the plains that you see here,” he pawed at the ground for a moment, “from a dank pit where neither light nor food are abundance, and the sun's sister visited often, but never stayed. But you did not come from that pit such as I, were you? were you birthed from the sky to have such shifting skin?” It was at this moment that he began to wonder if it was possible to teach the Blind how to See, and if it was, was this Audria to be one of the few who would learn to peel open their eyes like a newborn babe?

Audria I look into myself, To find my own heart has been changed
"You speak of nothing but riddles. Each sentence takes decoding to find its true meaning... Interesting. Far different than where I grew up, where people just come out bluntly." She commented, sighing. Then she paid attention to him, trying to decode his way of thinking. "The storms bring life and death, for me they bring life." She paused, looking to the skies. "I suppose your way of saying struck by lightning, or something of the sort, is then yes. That is of which I speak. A single spark may light a fire and destroy a entire forest, the rain that follows the first strike reviving the soil. Spreading space for old to die, and new to grow." She turned back to him, pondering his next comment. "No. no... At least, I don't think so. I mean, your wording is twisted in a way that I haven't heard since..." Her voice trail off as she dug through her memories. "Since a old seer passed through my pack lands down south. Of course, I was young and passed him off as insane by the warring packs." She shrugged.
"Land of South? No, down south is a direction." She paused, turning to nod in the direction she had come from. "The south is where heat peaks, and rain is often. Wars break out often, not just between packs but loners and packs. Everyone is uneasy, threatened that a twister will take their land and scare the prey away. Fires break out often during the droughts, killing many every time and killing all vegetation to where no prey roams. The droughts themselves take their toll, mostly on the pups and elders." She sighed, her eyes clouded in memories. "Rules are different there. Wolves take what they can, kill all who stand in their way. Ruthless, savages." She growled the last word, a shadow passing over her eyes.
She stood still for several minutes, memories flashing before her eyes. "It is a place none should ever be in." She whispered, cringing. Then she looked up, vaguely aware of him commenting on her fur. "My fur comes from my mother. She was a seer of sorts, and as a gift from another seer, had her fur constantly shifting colors. It was a sign of respect among them, and it'll be in my family forever, I have been told." She spoke the fact like it was nothing important.. It wasn't. Just odd colors, really.
"Why do you call me Blind? I am not ill for all I know, and I am not blind. I can see you perfectly well." She frowned. "You are a Seer, aren't you?" She asked, her eyes narrowing. "If not, then why call me Blind? Just because I don't talk in riddles doesn't mean I can't see."
Then a idea formed. "My mother taught me a riddle before she passed, one I have no idea what it means. She always told me, 'When not suffer through the eyes, then no shall be true. When one is not whole, then the fire will rain. Suffer now, gain from the future.' I truly have no idea what it means, but..." She shrugged. "I have a feeling that it means that if you do not suffer, you will not learn who you truly are. Remember the past, and get ready for what is to come." She grinned. "But, I just know my mother." She turned to him them, awaiting his answers.. or reactions... or for the skies to open up and start flashing and raining with the wind picking up and tossing everything it could in the air, and trying with the things it couldn't. Great, now she was thinking that way. I was like a addiction, every time she visited somewhere with a new accent she would start talking in that accent for hours after she left, possibly days. It was annoying, if nothing else.

Did he truly speak in the way that she mentioned? Surely if it was only riddles that he spewed, even he himself would be confused in what he said to the girl, though, he wasn't. But then he remembered that it was not his fault that she couldn't understand him, although he was talking in a perfectly reasonable manner, it must be the disease that she carried that caused her to be so Deaf. What else could it be? “Interesting, I suppose...to speak so bluntly and literally, this Land of South that you were birthed within must be ridden with disease,” he paused, suddenly growing interested in her as he grew closer, partially circling around her so that he may run a slight inspection of her well being, “yet you've held out against your own death, but still Blind...you people of the South are confusing creatures...” Trailing into silence, he sat upon his haunches once more, clearly more interested in Audria than he was previously. “Your Blind eyes have indeed taken upon the form of these South Lands, how they glisten with shadow and memory. Death follows that place, yet you hold it upon your eyes and shoulders so willingly...does it not bring pain to you? Mother would not strike you with Her hand unless you have another Path you have not yet found.” If indeed the great Mother passed her hand of fury upon this girl and she is still Blind, soon must she learn to See if she is to continue to survive he thought to himself carefully. His eyes widened for a moment, was that why She lead him here? to teach Audria to See and allow her to find the Path She had chosen for her that many a moon ago her eyes spoke so vividly of? the very thought he almost could not believe, though it must be true, for why else would he meet her in such a heat ridden place, and when a storm crawls ever so slowly along the horizon. Quickly his surprised look turned to confusion as she continued to speak, brows furrowing as his pin-point pupils locked carefully upon her own gray hues. “Your people of the South Lands can pass a change of skin onto each other so willingly?” Again, another melodic laugh escaped him, almost unwilling to believe such a story, although when leaned ever so slightly closer to her and inspected the hues shift upon themselves from the light around them, he knew there was nothing but truth within her words. Many a thing had he seen while traveling in the directions that the waters whispered to him, but this was new, and oh how he welcomed such things within his embrace. For how was he to learn if he shunned them all away to be cast down into fire and brimstone? “To carry such blood within to you to pass Mother's colors on within your own brood's lives, a gift indeed, and it should be cherished.” Matter-of-factly did he claim this, nodding his head as he spoke before stopping mid-nod at what next she said. “Sea...er? What is this creature that spawns from the waters and speaks to those that it meets? is it one of Mother's children?” he did not catch her demand why he insisted on her “blind” state, but instead was too consumed on attempting to figure what this “sea-er” was. Yes, yes, a creature, or perhaps, “a spirit, yes, it must be. To walk upon the Lands yet be birthed from the endless tides...you must tell me, what do these Sea-ers look like?” Oh, the knowledge that could be gained from Audria, and how excited was he to hear of these mystical creatures that could breathe both air and water, or walked the plains of the nether and could communicate with creatures of his world. Anticipation growing he slid himself closer to her, ears perked completely forward while he stared intently into her eyes, watching, listening for the tail of the Sea-ers and how she of those who dwell in the South Lands have spoken with these beings. It was when the initial shock of hearing of one of Mother's children that he had not yet met existed, did her other words reach him, his gaze into her own dark eyes wavering so that he may quirk his head a bit to the side, and smile. So, she did wish to rid herself of, “Your disease my poor friend. It is that which causes your Blind and Deafness, for you cannot hear even the greatest of Mother's children, our Brother, speak to us. Shh, listen! Even now He is speaking to us,” he paused as a small wind flowed about them, whisking from the direction of the storm before settling into the dancing grass below them once more, “I will not scorn if you did not hear His words, but was then that he spoke...the cold will visit for a time from beyond where the carrions fly and our great Sister will cry upon Mother's breast in sorrow for Her burns...” So intently he spoke, eyes growing unfocused for but a brief moment as if he was literally listening to the wind speak to him, head turned upright and titled to the side whilst ears flickered this way and that. Bowing his head as if to acknowledge the inaudible whispers as the wind died against the ground below them, he reverted his eyes towards her once more, strong and unwavering in his gaze. “A warning your mother would say to you, for what else? I cannot but brush upon your life with the tips of my paws, and even then, ever so slightly. Is the pain strong?”

Audria I look into myself, To find my own heart has been changed
"Memories are nothing but pain. The past is meant to be remembered, so one does not repeat it. Darkness so happens to flow with my memories, it appears. War, suffering, pain... All of it is meant as a lesson to me." She paused, then laughed softly. "When finding a mate, find one who doesn't strive for control over others." She lowered her gaze to the ground, almost pouting for a moment.
"The words he said words in such that it'll always be in my family line. He gifted my mother, and she passed it onto my brother and myself." Her throat tightened at the mention of her brother, but she swallowed and moved on. "It's just the color of fur. A sign of a thanks from one Seer to another." She shrugged at the fact. At least, it was in the area she had grown up in.
"Sea-er? No, no, See-er. As in, to see more than normal. Most of the time, they see visions of the future, or can predict the truth. However, some can also walk in dreams, see into another's soul, or just simply see more than the average wolf. Normally, they talk in such a riddle of words as you do, confusing all they can." Audria nodded to herself, as though to check to make sure she had gotten all the fact straight. "I really don't know much about them. Their life is mysterious, preferring to stay from those who think of them as a curse." She frowned at the words, reflecting on the way her mother was treated. "Most Seers I have met are blind, truly blind. Their eyes are milky, but I have met some wolves that are Seers that look just as you and I do. I find most of them have a sense of agelessness around them, but..." She trailed off, staring off at a distance as she tried to remember the few Seers that had passed through her pack lands. "They also often place curses on those who disobey them, or insult them. However, if these are real, I cannot say." She shrugged, sighing. "I fear that is all I know of them." She finished.
She was Blind and Deaf? Audria stared at him with curiosity, confused by his words. "I assume this Brother is the wind?" She asked, blinking. "And who is this Mother you keep speaking of? Sister?" She looked at him, completely confused. This wolf was insane, perhaps. Yes, but, she had found the crazed often tell the best stories, sometimes the best stories that held the darkened truth most hid from view. "And... er... what? Pain... What causes pain? What about brushing your paw on my life?" She stood up, looking down at his paw and then back up at him. She took a few steps back, flattening her ears against her head. What was he planning to do to her? she looked past him, at the storm she knew was coming soon. If she had to.. she could defend herself... But... She turned back to him, Audria knew the fear-scent was pouring off of her. She didn't care, either way, she would defend if he attacked....

“Memories are not pain, but instead reminders. Only when you allow them to hurt you do you start to twist in agony, for there are many that I cherish. Sure am I that you do the same on the odd occasion.” Twisting his head up to the sky as he spoke, he looked upon the darkened clouds with apparent contentment, almost silently sighing to himself, aura around him changing to novice tranquility. Though when she spoke of a mate, his eyes suddenly darkened, the tranquility quickly ebbing away into an eerie silence as he whipped his head around to stare at her, eyes wide, and yet, no surprise nor any sort of emotion could be read of them. “Beware of your choice. For even the deepest of lovers will leech upon you until you are but a shell of your former self.” He had no experience in the form of having a lover, and yet, he stared at her so unwaveringly, as if warning her of some forbidden horror that was to come upon her breast if she was not cautious enough to pick the mate in which to spend her days. Strange it was, this overbearing feeling that seemed to appear around Moonshaft disappeared as quickly as it had come when Audria continued to speak of the gift her mother was given by a fellow Seer, poise suddenly shifting into another bound of curious thought, as if his previous gaze had never existed. “Such creatures that can gift one another with changing skins, I should travel to these South Lands and question one of their power, for it does not seem something our Mother will grant...” Trailing off into a thoughtful silence, mumbling to himself inconsistent growls and words that did not seem to belong to their known tongue. Why is it that this girl had the ability to live with and commune with these ethereal creatures that could grant a changing of skin and walk within another's body. He had recalled in the past when he was in mid-slumber and sudden tossed into a flurry of confusion and disarray when he suddenly found himself within a particularly docile canines mind, their dream consisting of a single doe being crushed underneath their great paw when he was noticed and all went to chaos. Indeed had he met that very wolf not soon after being sucked into the endless pit of quicksand, and how mad he seemed. Twisting too and fro, screaming of a great beast with many legs and eyes of the stars that would come to destroy them all. Oh, how it perplexed him then to hear of such a creature that surely did not exist, but he could not shake the feeling that it had something to do with the mental battle he encountered with this very creature not too many a day ago. Again, she spoke of how he communicated in riddles! It was naught riddles he spoke, but truth! Truth taught from the great arms of his Mother and all of his other greater Siblings that surrounded him. He had never forgotten his blood sister that still wandered the lands where he did not know(often times wishing that they would once again see each other during their travels), but he was also aware of of the other Siblings that constantly surrounded and guided him from day to day. “These See-ers that walk only upon the land are truly blind you so claim, yet they would place curses upon others if not respected...these creatures are fools, are they not?” he laughed once more, its melodic tune traveling through the air and into other fields unknown. “Damning and cursing those who cannot accept the words that they weave, and yet they will not tolerate Mother's children that are all around them.” It was then that he recounted his sister slowly loosing her eyesight after a misadventure in his past, and began to wonder if she could See as he, if she carried this disease that so many others that he had met held so frequently. But when Audria confirmed of the great Brother's identity, he grew excited once more, face and mood lightening to an almost pup-like expression as he almost jumped closer towards her, a wide grin upon his face and eyes wide with anticipation. “Yes, yes! This 'wind' is our great Brother! You are finally breaking free of your Blindness and--” But alas, his excitement wavered when she expressed her confusion on the identities on their Mother and Sister, and his expression wavered slightly, grin faltering before moved his head around in a half circle, as in regarding all around them. “All that you see is our Mother, the ground her breast and sky her ever watchful eyes,” pausing to inhale and exhale a deep breath he went silent for a moment with his eyes closed before opening them once more, “the scent of our Sister is heavy in the air, and I am happy that she comes to weep for our Mother's burns, for the sun can become so merciless in times of strife. Sister's tears run dry, but I will admit there have been times when I wished they would naught run dry.” The progression that they were making was remarkable, but the sudden sense of fear that reeked from Audria took him by surprise, head thrusting backwards and tilting to the side a bit before screwing up a face in confusion, looking down at his paw and noticing how jagged and menacing his nails were; perhaps climbing the rough rock face before arriving in these plains was not as brilliant of an idea as it seemed at the time. He didn't understand why she was so afraid, he said nothing to disturb her he thought, if anything it was once again truth that he spoke to her, since the first moment of their meeting; but she was afraid, backing away from him and towards the rain storm that was continuing its crawl across the sky. “Why is it that you are so frightened, Audria? I know nothing of your life and yet you back away, have I said something to disdain your spirit?” He picked himself up a took a few cautious steps towards her, pausing after a token few to continue to stew in his confusion. Did she think of him to harm her? what a silly thought indeed, for he did nothing of any sort and intended not to less she threatened his own life in exchange for no such spiritual release. Was it the nature off all these South Land wolves to become frightened at the mention of another's involvement in their life? He perked up a small smile, attempting to banish any sort of uneasiness that she so obviously felt, according to him, for no reason at all, perhaps that was what she would need to help her calm such a calamining heart?

Audria I look into myself, To find my own heart has been changed
Audria continued backing up, her heart racing. She could almost hear distant thunder, feel the electric pull. Wait- no... this was her blood pounding in her ears. How odd, to pair it up with thunder... This caused her to get distracted, which in turn allowed her front paw to slip while backing up, causing her to stumble a bit before regaining her footing.
She could feel her heart quickening, panic almost blinding her thoughts... then she heard what he said. "So this Mother is the earth and skies? And this Sister is the storms?" She turned her head up at the skies that towered above her, the electric pull she felt before very real. A storm was coming, yes.
Then she shook her head, panic filling every inch of her being once more. Why did she allow herself to become distracted? She cursed herself silently, her eyes locking on the male's. They narrowed as she listened to his words. Know nothing of her life? Why must this male speak in such troubling words?
Audria shivered, standing her ground. She didn't move as he advanced on her, only watched his every move with a guarded expression. Then she slowly let her guards down, wincing slightly as the onslaught of emotions pounded her from every side. She felt the ground roll under her paws, but she kept her footing. She closed her eyes, straining to reinforce the block. After what seemed like hours to her, her emotions were her own once again. She kept her eyes closed, however, and imagined a small hole in her block. Big enough for one emotion to come through at one time. She let out a breath she didn't know she held, and slowly let the one emotion fill her. Then another. And another. When her head was full, she pushed them all back out, letting out a ragged breath. Once again they were trying to break down her defenses, but she had gotten what she needed from them.
Opening her eyes, she looked at the male for a few moments. How could she say that she thought he meant something completely different in his words? His words had held no intentions in them that she knew of... She overreacted. He had even said something of being careful of whom she chose to walk with... as least, she thought that was what he said. "Sorry..." The word felt dry in her mouth. "I fear no one can be too sure of anything these days." She looked up to the sky, as if it held the answers. "I believe you mean me no harm." This was said mostly to herself, but it was said for him to hear as well. Better to get that over with, anyways.
"The Seers can tell the future, more times than not. Most of the time, when lives are threatened. When wolves don't listen to them, others end up dead because of what the Seer saw. The Seer tried to tell them, but I can guess that some wolves will see it as a threat instead of a prophecy, calling it a curse for not doing what they were asked of. I doubt any of the Seers actually place curses on others, all the ones I met were rather nice." She managed a small smile.
Her gaze dropped then, and she let out a shaky sigh. "Memories are often laced with pain. There is no way to separate the two, unless your memory was wiped clean. I have seen this in the land I've traveled; spoken with wolves that have lost their souls do to what has happened to them." She let out a sharp growl, flattening her ears against her head. "No one should have to suffer through so much." She growled, shaking away the looks of the wolves who had stared at her with such blank expressions.
She took a deep breath, and then looked up at the wolf. "Thank you for taking the time to chat. I fear I should be going, though. It was nice to talk with another wolf for once; maybe our paths will cross sooner or later once again." She gave him a weak smile. Truth was, she wanted to go run, run anywhere where she could be alone when the storm hit. Anywhere where she could sit and be alone, with just the surrounding, for most part, unfeeling, nature.
Audria went to move back, to turn around, but she felt like she was stuck. She looked down, confused. Why wasn't she moving? She then looked up at the storm that was creeping toward them, and she felt her heart sink. This was no natural storm. She could feel it in her fur, as it slowly stood on end. This wasn't going to end well either, the thought left a raw taste in her mouth. "Moonshaft, I believe we should take cover. Something of this storm... doesn't feel right." Her own voice felt filled with dread. "Or, rather, I believe you would say 'This is not Sister's work'" She turned, attempting to smile to lighten the dread that had filled her entire being. It didn't work, but she still tried.
