The moon gleamed beautifully, the night time stars sparkling and giving light to the ground below. The sound of wings flapping filled the still air, and brought a presence to the empty forest. Quietly it halted to a stop and a large figure staggered to the ground. She had been flying nonstop for days now, after a journey from hell. Not only was she tired and hungry, but she grew weak and unstable. Leaning on a tree for support, she rested. Her eyes scanned around her, it seemed so different and yet so familiar. Had she made it? Was she finally home? And what if she did make it, would it be the same? Was there even a slightest chance that she'd see any of her family? Though the chances seemed slim, Raven felt as if just being on this land made her a little more complete.
Raven slowly sat down, now going into thought. How long was she gone to be exact? She knew it had been more than a year that she traveled to get there, and was not easy. Raven was startled to hear her stomach growling, she couldn't recall the last time she had eaten. She shook her head, scrambling her thoughts. She sighed, she knew for sure that she would have to stay here for more than a day or two. And she was partially certain that this was where she was born. This was Nozomi. So she debated whether to ask around, or to continue on her journey.
Her senses kicked it as her ears caught the slightest sound not too far away. Her ears pricked, trying to listen more, and she heard footsteps heading her way. Immediately, Raven stood up, and stood there not knowing to confront or run. A strangely familiar scent entered her nostrils, and she took no time to try to figure out how she recognized it, but she deciphered that it was a wolf. Before it could get any closer, she shot up into the tree, rustling some leaves on the way and hid within the shadows. She positioned herself to see the wolf as he or she passed by.
Thoughts raced through her head as she returned to her past, remembering the time she encountered the pack that wanted her dead. A cold chill ran down her spine as she blocked that bad thought. But she didn't know if this wolf was safe to talk too or not. Silently, she repositioned herself to jump on the wolf. Her thoughts scrambled yet again, this wasn't like her. Was her hunger and fatigue messing with her thinking and actions. She wasn't sure but she waited.

Skyla [Wake me up inside;;]
Skyla tilted her head up toward the sky; a strange sent engulfed her nostrils. The fog was still thick and on one was attack, just quite yet, but who knew what was going to happen. This sent was different however. Actually it was nostalgic, bringing her back to her past. She froze, looking around. Why was that sent so familiar, and yet so, strange? She wasn’t quite sure what it was, but then again, she couldn’t just leave the pack and go investigate. She shook her head, as she tried to concentrate on what was most important. She had to protect them, but the memories over flooded it. “Damn, what’s going on?” She whispered to herself, turning her head to Annika, her guardian, who gave her a strange look, as if she knew what she was thinking. Skyla sighed, pinning her ears back upon her head. It was probably nothing. All of Nozomi had nostalgic aromas from her childhood. The childhood she didn’t like to remember, and yet, part of her wandered about her family. Could it be? No, it couldn’t be. Her mother and siblings were probably long gone by now, far away, raising their own families, probably even grandchildren…but still…
“Skyla, go. I will keep an eye out here.” Annika said with a wink as she walked by her, without another word. Skyla looked at her, but she did not wait long. She turned around and began to ran, pulling her head back and letting out a long howl, racing down from Suicide Cliffs. She ran as far as she could, the smell began to grow and grow until she could sense nothing, but. It didn’t take her long to realize it was a wolf, but who was it? Could it possibly be someone from her past? Skyla had not seen any traces from her family for such a long time. Ever since Phantom died, their family kind of fell apart, separating, going their own ways. There was no way. But still she kept on going.
Finally the sent became so strong, she stopped. Unaware that in a tree a few feet in front of her was her long lost sister, whom she had not seen in forever. She cautiously began to go forward. This is stupid, but am I doing? Who do I expect to run into? Though…why do I feel like I need to be here? Perhaps this is a trick…the thought of it being a trick really pissed her off. She cursed under her breath. Damn it, and she fell right into their traps.

Raven's heart raced as the wolf got closer and closer, her breath stopped and her throat tightened. She looked at the wolf, and she looked so familiar. And yet Raven's vague memory couldn't quite pinpoint how she knew her. Raven's muscles started shaking slightly, she was just so weak and they were starting to give out on her. Not now, Raven just hold on a little bit more. she tried to tell herself. The she-wolfs scent grew stronger, and it brought Raven a blast back into her past. It was like the answer sat screaming in her face and she couldn't figure it out. Raven started sorting out possibilities of who this wolf could be.
The scent told her that they were possibly related. Remembering her cousins, she ruled them out for she long lost their scent and wouldn't be able to remember for the life of her, sadly. So Raven's mind wandered to her immediate family. Her father, no. Sacraficed himself long ago. Mother? Who knows, might be alive and might not. Brother, Kiba? Most likely not, she never was close to him. He probly left long ago as well. That only left..
Raven snapped back into reality, her older sister, Skyla. Her throat felt even dryer, and her eyes welled up with tears. She remembered. She remembered her sisters scent clear as day. Slowly a smile spread across her face and she looked down to see her. Confusion ran through her mind, it smelled like her sister, but it didn't look like her. Was it possible that she changed? Or had a daughter? Whatever the answer was, Raven was finding out. She lept from the tree, rustling the leaves a bit while doing so, and she silently and gracefully landed behind her possibly long lost sister. Raven rose her head, looking at her for a bit, she seemed so much smaller than she remembered.
Raven refocused her mind, and her ears pulled back taking a step. She took in a breath and finally spoke in a soft voice, "S...Skyla....?""

Skyla [Wake me up inside;;]
Skyla did not want to turn around. Her body froze when someone spoke her name. It was no stranger. Her heart stopped beating and she was unable to breath. She began to tremble as she stood there. It couldn’t possibly be, could it? The voice was familiar, from way back in her childhood; however it had matured, blossomed. She was not sure if she could handle finding out the truth. Could it really be her younger sister, Raven? She and Raven had been on different paths, they barley spoke to each other, but secretly Skyla envied her sister. Raven was treated normal, perhaps she should have been the elder and Skyla be the younger. If that was so, what would their lives be like then? Would they be in reverse lives that they live now? Skyla took a deep breath as she gradually began to turn around. She gasped, tears coming to her eyes, for when she saw the female, she knew instantly it was her sister.
“Raven!” When the words slipped from her maw, the tears dripped down from her eyes. She raced forward, no longer thinking, and nuzzled her long sister and licked her cheek. “Raven, can it be truly you? Tell me. Because I don’t think I can bare the thought that my imagination has been tricking me!” she said as she stepped back to look at her younger sister. The years had changed the both of them. They were both former selves of what they were back when they were younger. Skyla tilted her head; she wandered what her sister thought about her. Did she hate her? Did she miss her? Skyla once before resented her sister, hating herself for it, because she was different and Raven was normal and had a good relationship with their parents, but right now she was overjoyed with reuniting with her. She never thought she would see her sister again.

This was her, this was her sister! Raven felt a thousand pounds of releif as she saw and heard her sister say her name. It was really her, Skyla. Raven started remembering very well that they didn't have the best relationship, but Raven looked up to Skyla. How Skyla showed no fear and was brave. Raven envied that she wasn't afraid to stand out. Being younger, Raven was jealous so much of her, and yet she couldn't hate her at all.
The tears poured down and she met Skyla half way, nuzzling her softly and trying to hold back her sobbing but couldn't. "Yes, yes! It is me, Skyla. I can't believe it either..." she whispered taking in the sweet scent of her sister. Raven tried to control herself and smiled, "No, your not imagining anymore. Its really me. I'm back. I never should have left..." she sniffled. Raven was always one to conceal her emotions, but she just couldn't right now. This was something that she couldn't control at the moment. She came back and found what she was looking for, her family. And she missed Skyla more than anything, they never had their sister to sister moments, and they never spoke to eachother that much. Now everything could be caught up and better for both of them.
