High Ranks
Alphas (Up to Two) – The Alphas control the pack. They are like parents and every other member is their children in which they do their best to protect them, even if it means risking their own lives. They are like Kings and Queen because they discipline anyone who breaks their rules and no one stands above them. The Alpha pair must be smart, quick, brave, and wisest to run the pack smoothly, otherwise someone else could come in and easily take them over.
Betas (Up to Two) –The betas do not have to be mates. They are advisors to the Alphas and make sure everything is running smoothly. They are the guards who patrol the area. They practically know what’s going on with everyone and can often be seen standing by the Alphas side. They have much freedom to do their own things, however when it comes to large decisions they take it up with their Alphas. When the Alphas die and have no children then on or both of the Beta’s will become the next Alpha/Alphess
Gamma (One) –Gammas help the Betas when there is too much to be done. They must be quick on their feet as they rush around to do errands. They too, patrol the pack, and make sure everything is running the way it’s supposed too. They do have freedom, but not as much as the betas do. They must be respected all the same however. Gammas are also come up with the battle strategies since the Beta’s are often too busy assisting with the Alpha pair.
Delta (One) - This wolf does tasks that the Betas and the Gammas can’t get to. The main jobs that the Deltas have is patrolling the pack [There can never be to many wolves to do that] and assisting the Alphas whenever they can. They attend some of the meetings, however they are only ‘apprentices’ to the higher ranks, though they have much more opportunity then most.
Gurdians (Up to two) - Guardians are important to the back. They get the name Guardians because they're like "Guardian Angels' they watch over the pack, helping others, and healing them. They usually have healing powers or great knowledge in medicines. They're basically 'Shaman' however their duty is far greater then that. They're also pretty good warriors.
Note: The Alphas HAVE To be mates, however the betas don’t have to be. If a wolf mates with a Beta wolf that does NOT make them Beta. The Gamma and Delta can be male/female (More likely if gamma is female then the delta will be male or the other way around)
Non-High Ranks
Note: Please don't just have all your wolves beEpsilon. If I see this then I will make it where you cannot get a certain rank only until you accomplish something.
Epsilon - The most trusted of all the non high ranking wolves. . If one of the Betas/Gammas/Deltas died then the Alphas will look upon these wolves and see if they would fit the part. They have been with the pack for several months (or sometimes even years) They can help out with different task that other non-high ranks can't do.
Theta – Very trusted among the pack. They're the warriors. They have to be strong and strong willed as well as brave and smart. Not all of these wolves are warriors -- mostly it's only the male however some females are warriors. They have to prove their strength before they can get this rank.
Kappa – These wolves are quite trustful. They've lived in the pack for a while and are finally beginning to be a part of the pack. The high ranking wolves are beginning to take their eyes off of them and they are able to really prove themselves if they wish to try to get higher ranks.
Newcomer - Newcomers are though that just joined the pack. They are watched carefully by the high ranking wolves to make sure they are trusthworthy. They don't get much freedom until they prove themselves. This is very important.
Omega – The worst position any wolf would wish to be. This is the rank one gets if they done something horrible wrong in the pack. Once you are Omega it is almost impossible to regain your rank.
Loner - Loners are not part of the pack. They cannot join in any of the packs meetings or anything that has to do with the packs. They may live upon the lands, however if they get out of line then they can be banished or killed.
