Entarrie sprinted across the damp, sodden earth on three paws. Her paws turned up the soft dirt when she took off, spraying soil everywhere. The ground was beginning to run with blood that was dripping from the sky like the world was bleeding from its atmosphere. She wondered how the world could be bleeding if it wasn't even alive. The thing they lived on was a cold piece of dirt, rock, and magma that happened to have living things growing on it and nothing could change the facts. Yet there they were under a sky that was pouring down blood, so either it was an unexplained phenomenon of magic or she had gotten something seriously wrong in her calculations. Her eyes locked onto her body and she wove in and out of fallen pieces of ice to reach it. She grabbed it up by the scruff of its neck and tossed it as hard as she could with a sharp jerk of her neck. It sailed in the air and landed with a thump into a nearby bush. That was going to hurt later. Something cold and slippery slid under her rough and calloused paw pads and she looked down to see a clear layer of ice crystalizing on the ground. Entarrie leaned back to try and stop herself and her legs began to wobble uncontrollably. She panicked and her paws slipped out from under her body, forcing her to sit to prevent herself from falling altogether. She spun in quick circles until she smacked into the spikes of ice that grew out of the ground hard. Angry and with blue and purple bruises blossoming under her rank coat of matted fur, she turned swiftly to face the stricken wolf that had threatened her.
How dare she make her do something so humiliating. Inch- long yellowed fangs bared in an annoyed grin. Fury and frustration tangled up her nerves and made her almost cease to see reason. She quelled it quickly with a quick deep breath and her lips dropped back down. The only hint of any lingering annoyance was the quick flick of her grayish tongue over her lips, otherwise her expression was somber. That's it. Bring her back to you. Remember what you've forgotten. She said something snide to the voice in her head, fixedly watching the female in the center of the half-circle of spikes. Then her attention strayed back to the sharp, icy spikes, which were breaking off and shooting towards her. Entarrie ducked close to the ground with difficulty, hugging it like a tick to the skin of the creature it had bound itself to. Speaking of which- the fleas and ticks on the body she had accidentally possessed were driving her insane. Once the spike threat had passed she pushed herself up to see the female launching herself at her. "I DIDN'T FUCKING KILL ANYONE YOU BITCH!" she screeched. Entarrie used her claws to dig into the ice and her paws left the ground, pushing her to meet the attack head on. She felt the brown-furred wolf's teeth graze her skin, and she leaned towards the side, pushing out with the paws on that side to keep her from doing any more damage. She didn't want to hurt the female, but she was getting seriously annoyed by her attempt to kill her.
"IDIOT! If you don't calm down, you're going to get yourself killed, and not by me!" Entarrie could vaguely remember something about ice and playing as a puppy that helped her land. Even with one paw out of commission, she landed on three wobbly legs and slowed, leaning slightly to one side to spin herself around. She caught the ice with her claws to slow herself even more. The dead-looking eyes that were sunken into her head watched Aiya with a slowly flickering anger hidden in their depths. There was an almost hidden, thin wound through the body's chest that went right through its heart. That was the wound that had killed the thing that she possessed, but it wasn't enough to stop her from possessing the body. All of a sudden there was a whole lot of confusion and yipping as a few of the rapist wolves slid across the ice on their butts. After a few moments of consideration Entarrie took advantage of the situation by leaping towards one of the spinning rapist wolves and grabbed him by the back of the neck(who says rapist wolves can't have fun? xD). She dragged him off of his paws, spinning around and around, and let him spin out of reach.
"What the hell are you doing?" it hissed.
Apparently they had thought she was one of their own and had come to help her capture the female. She considered it a lucky break that they had, because the other female might have killed her otherwise. The bloody rain was splattering against the ice and steamed when it hit it. She stared for a minute before replying loudly. "Sorry about that. I needed to separate you from the rest to tell you something before you go near her." Her eyes glittered ominously, but she otherwise showed no hint of the emotion(including amusement) that threatened to spill out her ears if she lost control. She moved closer as if to say something so only he could hear and at the last second grabbed its throat in her mouth and ripped with her front paws. Surprised by the supposed betrayal, the male struggled uselessly in her jaws. Her claws and teeth ripped up his skin with savage shakes from her head and battering blows from paws, releasing her pent up anger and disgust at what they had done to her and others they had caught. She ignored the paws pushing against her that slowly weakened when she clamped her teeth down harder. When he finally slid to the ground in a savaged heap, there wasn't much left of his face or neck to see. Blood slowly trickled into a pool around his head and neck and she stood triumphantly over him with fresh scratches etched into her borrowed face and new blood sodding her matted fur. The rank smell had ceased to disturb her in that body, but it lingered like the scent of rotting fruit. The only light pouring through the chinks in the canopy of branches and leaves was gray and depressing. Trees bowed under the weight of the water and blood that weighed them down, but the air was oddly still and dead except for the pounding of her heart and quick breathing, the yips and barks of the rapist wolves, and the small 'tink' of blood hitting the ice.
"So what do you think now...?" she whispered, trailing off softly. She stared blankly at the empty air in front of her, waiting for someone or something to answer. She took a shuddering breath when silence was the only thing that answered her question. She turned her head slightly to look back as though she had just woken from a deep sleep, her mind blank and groggy. She had killed a wolf and there had been no punishment or bolt of lightening thrown down from the sky to strike her down. There was only the lingering silence that seemed to her to be almost as bad. It was like it was a living, breathing thing that was waiting for the right moment to strangle her to death. Entarrie would much have preferred the bolt of lightening. She stared at the other wolves over her shoulder briefly, feeling suddenly separate and alone compared to all of them. She slowly padded in the opposite direction, slipping and sliding a bit as she went. I still think you're a damned idiot. The silent voice trapped her where she stood like the ice under her paws had grown up around her to encase her in its frozen death. Her ears flattened against her head. You should have destroyed her before she destroys you. At least you got your body to safety. She silently asked the voice about her past, asking it pleadingly to tell her what she didn't know.
Some secrets are meant to be kept.Something is happening here. Something strange... Shakun ignored the little conscience in the back of his head and stared around at the warring wolves. They seemed forever caught up in their twisted little dance that just went on tirelessly without an end. A frown dipped his lips down and he looked at Sorin, trying to distract himself from the madness. Her red fur caught his eye easily and he studied her, wondering how he had gotten caught up in her dream. He tried to remember, but all that came to mind was a blackness darker than night. "Yeah, about that. Sorin, I need you to describe everything about the place you ended up. Every detail that you can remember. It's important that I know so that I can find you when I get out of here. IF I get out of here." Shakun had no idea what was going on or how he had been pulled into her dream. Nothing like that had ever happened before. A concerned glint lighted in his eye, but it vanished a few seconds after it appeared. The emotion was broken and weak, but it was there. That was the way his emotions always were, faded like an old book that hadn't been properly cared for.
Shakun shifted a wing over his side and glanced at his paws before looking back at her. He looked almost as shame-faced as a little boy that had been reproved. He didn't feel right being in her dream and watching the things that were going on there. He hated invading someone's personal spaces and at the same time felt embarrassed about being embarrassed for being in her dream. What had gotten him there, anyways? The sound of rent flesh filled the air and made him want to howl, but he kept his jaw clamped tightly shut and pinned his ears to his head. The sound reminded him of the sick way his jaws had ripped and torn the rapist wolves and for the first time the shock hit him and he felt queasy. He had been trained to kill young, but he had never really killed as many as he had killed in the war. He glanced at Sorin again, who had moved back to stand at his side. "How? I have no idea how, actually. I woke up and you were gone, so I started looking for you with my mind to make sure you were gone. Then... then my mind brushed up against something that pulled me into a black void and I couldn't get out. I just... ended up here, somehow. That's all I remember."
He followed her gaze to where the atmosphere was shifting and his frown deepened. Was something outside of her control causing the nightmare? She certainly seemed to think so, judging by what she said. Why would someone want to send Sorin a nightmare? He took a step forward curiously, wondering what would happen if he did. Nothing? Something? Shakun narrowed his eyes and sniffed the air, wondering if it was actually possible to sniff the air in a dream. If there was someone sending her a nightmare then who, and why? Why would somebody want to scare her? The strange fighting and blood had stopped, but he sensed that there might be something weird on the horizon. Literally.

"Describe it? I was only awake for about a second or two before I was knocked out again. All I remember is the wolf that knocked me out again. The wolves called him Tero, and he seemed to be in charge." She frowned, pausing. "Just ask my Soul Ribbon to find me." She added, shrugging. She was distracted by him, from the thing she had been yelling at only moments ago. She hesitated a moment, then turned to face him. "Looked for my mind?" She asked, blinking. "You were- are in my mind?" She took a step back, uncertain. The stories she heard of those who could enter minds... She shivered. Of course, no Amasite could do that, their mind powers were strictly to make and move things outside the body. None had ever been reported of being able to enter another's mind. And she didn't like that idea. And that meant he was really there. Shit. Sorin stood there for a few moments, mind racing. She had a flicker of fear stirring, as she looked at Shakun. He had a power that no one she knew had. We was the unknown to her, and truthfully, she didn't like the idea of him entering her mind. Even if she had a debt to pay to him... That was when the icy chill swept over her, and she felt her body freeze in the spot. She turned, looking out at the once beautiful field. There, alone, stood a red wolf that's fur was much deeper than her own. She turned to face the wolf, head held high. He was here again. He had been messing with her, this entire time. "Sed wiza beo. Sed wiza beo geznamg na um gsa hfaakumt zaifnh." The words rolled off her tongue easily, her eyes narrowing as her voice was carried out further than it should have, echoing in her ears. She could only hope Shakun didn't know much of her language. Sorin watched as the wolf vanished, reappearing a good stretch closer to them. She didn't tense, she didn't let the anger and mingled fear rise to the surface. She held her gaze steady, straight at the red wolf. She flicked her tail finally. "Beo duff kib, beo duff kib halazafb." She growled, her upper lip pulling back in a snarl that showed the row of sharp teeth. "Beo pmed gsa xehg!" She added, spitting the words as though they were the foulest thing she ever spoke. Sorin didn't falter when the image of the wolf vanished once again, showing itself inches from her face in a silent snarl. She stared into his eyes calmly, her upper lip still pulled back, her body relaxed. She saw one part of her past replaying itself in his eyes, the time when she took his life. "Beo puffaw gsa Me Nazxb kixp! Beo yzeotsg oh umge i diz dugs gsa Tewh. Beo hag eoz kigs er waigs. Beo puffaw nb emfb rzuamw, nb yzegsaz, nb negsaz imw rigsaz. Beo puffaw beoz edm hem imw wiotsgaz. Beo siw i zutsg ge wua, beo daipfumt. Beo suw yasumw oh, puffumt eoz kihg ifksi dugs gzuxpazb imw hxsanumt. Emfb U dihm'g yfumwaw yb beoz fuah. Emfb U pmad dsig ug naimg ge ya i gzoa Inihuga. Meg nihpumt gsa raafumth, suwumt yasumw i nihp. Henagsumt beo giotsg oh, henagsumt gsig sozg gsa Tewwahh. Beo wahazla ge ya waiw." She snarled, taking a step forward as the wolf took a step back. Shock raged on his face, soon replaced my anger. She could almost laugh at the reaction, but she held her gaze, only flattening her ears against her head. Shakun wasn't there to her anymore, her concentration was on the wolf in front of her, and nothing more. The only time she moved was when the male wolf lifted his head back, letting out a cry that caused the ground to roll under her paws, the cries of thousands coming from his jaws, the sounds of war circling around her. She stumbled, closing her eyes. It was too much, she couldn't take it. images flashed on the back of her eyelids, of her, killing each wolf that sounded in that voice. Numbness surrounded her, threatening her. No. "No." She repeated to herself, looking up at the wolf that still had his head thrown back. "No!" She shouted, finally letting the anger course through her. "I had every right to kill you. You killed many more in return, it was your time. You were meant to die, to die by me." She snarled, regaining her footing. "I know I've killed many in my time. I've killed armies, I've killed pups, I've killed the helpless. I can never take that back, no one can. I can't ask to be forgiven, I can't go back and change it, I can't let it eat me up." She snarled, the sounds around her dying away as the wolf closed its jaws, turning its eyes back on her. She flicked her tail, raising her head up. "But what I can do, is never do it again. I can help those souls to their God or Goddess of Death. I can try to live my life down the right path. I can defy what Amasite are known for." She paused, a smile placed firmly on her lips. "And I sure as hell can beat you, again." She said, watching the wolf's look of dominance fade to fear, the weakling he really was. She watched as blade of grass broke from the ground, surrounding the male in a golden whirlwind. He soon was blocked from view, the whirlwind growing in size until it towered high above them, disappearing into the sky. Then it was gone. Just like that. The blades of grass fell around them, the dark clouds gone, the sunlight reflecting off the blades of grass. Sorin stared up at where the whirlwind had met the sky, now as blue as the sea. Her ears, once flattened against her head, now seemed to droop rather than be pinned back. Her tail, once flicking from side to side, hang limply. Even her eyes seemed saddened, but when she flicked her gaze to Shakun, that disappeared, a mixture of feelings replacing the sadness that had lingered there only moments ago. "I've killed a lot of wolves, Shakun. I've preyed on the weak, I've slaughtered packs, started and ended wars with blood on my pelt, I've killed wolves for simply standing in my way, or crossing my path. At the time, I couldn't feel anything but anger, no pain, no sadness, no regret. It started with that wolf you saw moments ago, the last alpha of my first and only pack. I killed him without mercy, for he had started a war with the Gods themselves, in return killing half the pack. Including my mother, my brother, and the only friend I had at the time. In return, this killed my father, and my friend's father. He started a chain reaction, and ever sense, has haunted my dreams, wanting revenge. Of course, I didn't know how to deal with him until I learned to deal with myself, blah blah blah. Why am I telling you this?" She paused, a look of hate, or was it uncertainty? Crossed her face, her ears once again flattening against her head. "Because I couldn't keep you from learning it yourself." She said, turning away from him, padding away from him. If he wanted to follow, so be it. She didn't want to stand there waiting for the next dream to begin. She would face the next one, with or without Shakun. He wouldn't understand. Wolves that didn't share her blood never did. They never understood the need to hide and destroy their emotions. The way fighting in a battle felt right. The way taking another's life felt like a victory. They never understood. She paused, looking over her shoulder. "And if you start with that 'Goddess' crap, I will show you how to manipulate a dream. After all, it is my dream." She called out to him, only pausing to flick her gaze in the land before her before she started to pad off again. Aiya;; Half of one heartAiya paused in her haste to kill the other wolf. Didn't kill anyone? She landed on the ice, using the speed she had a moment ago to spin on the ice to face the wolf, stopping only a bit later. "You are a liar!" She cried out, anger spreading to every part of her body. It was in control now, not her. "I don't care if I die! My brother is dead, because of you!" She snarled, the edges of her fur turning to ice. She moved to attack the wolf again, when the others slipped on her ice arena. She spun around, staring at them. Two of the wolves moved toward her, the wolf behind her moving to one off to the side.
Aiya moved back as the two wolves slipped and slid forward, laughter in their eyes. She lowered her head, her fur standing on end. They were going to die. They were all going to die. All of them. She growled, watching as the ice shifted under their paws. It rippled, appearing to shift like water as waves rose up on either side of them, towering so high that it blocked some of the falling blood from landing on her. Then the ice waves fell as any normal wave would, smashing together in a shower of ice that caused scratches even on her skin. The two wolves had somehow managed to move out of the main path, but she could see one of them had a leg stuck in the ice that had now turned solid, trapped. She looked up, bringing the ice down on top of it. One down, one to go. She spun around, facing it. It moved toward her, Aiya deepening her grow. It stopped for a moment, but only a moment before it continued forward, Aiay letting out a cruel laugh. "Idiot!" She shouted. And with that, the ice began to shift once again, this time long, needle-like spikes shooting out, centering on the wolf. It didn't have enough time to retort before the thing died.
Aiya spun around again, turning to the first one she saw. There he was, with the blood of his own type. They had probably got into a fight of which one would get her first, but she wasn't going to allow that, no. She growled, moving to add some weird twist to the ice when she felt something grasp her neck. She fell ridged for a moment before she was flung up in the air, higher than she had ever been, and the ground coming closer at a alarming rate. Instead of trying to save herself she spun in the air, facing the wolf she had though trapped, dead under the shower of ice, and watched as more needle-like spikes shot up, blood pouring onto the ice. And that was the last thing she saw, before she landed on one of her thicker spikes from before, pain only lasting a split second before the darkness took her. Her blood fell to the ground where her body hovered over, stopped by the spikes that had struck her. The ice that she had created slowly faded, slowly gaining speed until it melted into a puddle that mixed with the blood that still rained from the skies, melting to reveal that Aiya's body laid next to her brother's mangled body. The last of the Amber's Stone fading away with her life.It was... raining blood? Zilla looked up at the skies, her puzzled expression painted clearly on her face. Why was it raining blood? Was there a war above her, where wolves with wings like her were flying, causing blood to fall? No, this was from the clouds. But why was it blood? She tilted her head, trying to piece together what was going on. Where was her pack? Why were there wolves she didn't know in the lands? Suddenly a flare of light blinded her normal vision, a soft glow in her normally darkened vision. She frowned, looking up at the dragon that loomed over her, it's long body that was made of twisting, turning light, flew over her head. "You don't like it either, to you Riz?" She asked, her voice soft and quiet. She flattened her ears, watching as the Guide's body landed beside her own, his great wing folding out to shelter her from the onslaught of bloody rain. She leaned toward him, her eyes trailing a drop that landed on his wing, which she could see through, watching it fall to the ground below before she moved. "I have to go see who is behind this." She stated, looking up at Riz. He looked at her, his head lowered to her own, touching the twisting or that hung by a thread of light around her neck. She padded forward without another thought, mindlessly weaving through the trees. She was aware of wolves following her, but she paid them no mind. They wouldn't dare strike her, not after they saw the orb around her throat that flared to life every time one of them looked at her. No, Riz wouldn't let them have her. If they had her, Zilla would finally be pushed over the edge and kill herself, sending Riz back to the Light Lands. He wouldn't have that. No.
Zilla closed her eyes as she pushed through one thick part of underbrush, almost slipping on the ice she set paw on. She scrambled to regain balance, but she leaned forward, sending her spinning on the ice, sprawled out. But that didn't affect her. Her good eye followed a wolf as she fell from the sky, landing on a spike before Zilla could as much as cry out. Then the ice melted, and Zilla stood up, racing toward the wolf she had seen falling. But by the time she reached the wolf, she was already gone. Zilla took a few steps back away from the two bodies, shaking her head slowly. A war.. and two wolves had died? She had to find Skyla, she had to find the rest of the pack. They had to be safe... She turned, looking at the only other wolf in the clearing. She took a step back, her dark gray fur matted and stained with the blood that fell from the sky, her wings sticky and unusable at the moment. The orb around her throat flared in a bright light, Riz threatening to come out. Something wasn't right.. She had to get to the pack.. She had to make sure they were alright, but for some reason her paws were anchored to the ground, her blue eyes, one good, one not and hidden under a blue part of her fur that grew longer than the rest of her fur, hiding the bad eye, both eyes locked on the only remaining wolf. Only one thing crossed her mind. What was going on?[/sub]

“What is- never mind,” Shakun muttered darkly. The image of a thin ribbon twisting in the air like a serpent promptly reminded him of what she intended him to think of. He considered the ribbon grimly for a few short minutes, reminiscing upon the damage that it could do. His ears flattened against his head when she spoke so incredulously and he felt himself flare up irritably. “No, Sorin, you’re really just dreaming me,” he snapped, dripping sarcasm. The way she shivered was like an actual blow and he winced as though he’d just been soundly beaten. “Look, I didn’t even mean to be here... I wasn’t trying to go into your personal thoughts, I was just looking for you and something weird happened that landed me here.” Shakun spoke slowly and clearly, his voice melancholy, attempting to hold her gaze so that there could be no misunderstandings. He squared himself and set his jaw stubbornly, reading the uncertainty and fear there like reading words from a page in a book. He allowed the silence to weave a sticky web around him, letting it draw him toward the center until he finally found the audacity to break free from the thin, delicate cords with a few words. “It was just an accident,” he concluded lamely under his breath. He knew she probably wasn’t listening by then and dropped his eyes to the vivid green grass under his paws. Perhaps he really had done something that was obscene and inexcusable, but right then he didn’t know how depraved she thought he was.
Chagrin pushed hot blood into his face and rosy color spread across the skin under his blood matted white fur. The redness faded when an indiscriminate flash of movement caught his attention. Shakun focused his attention on the dark red splotch of color that had caught his eye, jerking his head forward so that he could stare more intently at the thing that had disappeared and reappeared closer as if by magic. He had the look and markings of one of Sorin’s breed, the war-like Amasites that were born from drops of blood. The white wolf’s muscles locked into place to make him totally still and he watched curiously, listening to Sorin’s incomprehensible words. He knew he had no right to listen or watch, but he couldn’t muster up the self control to make himself stop. The male was the only other Amasite that he’d ever seen in his entire life and he wondered whether she considered it a good or a bad encounter. He had barely thought it when it was answered by the expression of rage, the baring of her teeth, that lit upon her face. Shakun listened to her speak a lengthy speech that went way beyond the bounds of his knowledge of the language. It was the most he had ever heard her speak in the Amasitian language. He recognized ‘Me Nazxb’ as No Mercy, of course, but he was deaf to how it fit in with the few other words that he recognized.
He observed her back him down a step and the male lifted his head and let out a horrible cry that made Sorin stumble, but she regained her footing and stood her ground. What she said next shocked him. He had seen her kill on a battlefield without any emotion, with no mercy, but he could never have imagined that she was in any way capable of something as... as abhorrent as killing pups until he heard her say it. His jaw slacked open a tiny bit and he stood there dumbfounded, feeling almost betrayed. Sorin had acted so much like a friend to the little pup Etta that he never would have guessed what she had done. Was it going to be as easy as she made it sound to live her life better than she had before? Shakun took a swift step away from the scene, closing his eyes when the golden grasses surrounded the wolf and rose to the sky in a tornado of swirling plant pieces. The grass crunched loudly under his paws as he took another few steps back. At least one cheating murderer had been wiped from the face of the planet, from what he had heard. The wolf in Sorin’s dream was a murderer when he was alive, she said, a murderer who had killed everyone dear to her. She had killed wolves that were dear to others, lives that couldn’t be replaced. The horror faded into a strange emptiness that reflected in his eyes when he looked at her. He stared at the face that played back a mixture of emotions that were hard to read when her eyes rested on him before quickly shifting his gaze to the black markings that faded into white and the white cross in the center of it so that he didn't have to look into her eyes. He listened to her words, unmoving and making no sound until she had finished. He ran the tip of his pink tongue over his lips and spoke in a quiet, almost accusing voice.
“I don’t know, I’m not you,” he muttered. Shakun was still thinking over everything she had said to the wolf of her kind and what she had said to him. “I’m sorry, then.” When she padded away, he stared after her for a moment before turning in the opposite direction, still mulling over everything that had happened. He still hadn’t gotten over her being a Goddess, and now this? Sorin was a Goddess trying to turn her life around for the better. She had killed and she was going to try and help those innocent lives that she had taken back to their Goddess of Death. Why was he still there? Shakun tilted his head back to look at the blue sky like it held the easiest answer to all of his problems. He suddenly decided that he needed to leave, and right away. He took one step and found himself tumbling from an edge into blackness. In reality(inside the dream), he had actually taken one feeble step forward and fallen onto his stomach. The darkness slowly brightened into light and he opened his eyes again to see his uncle standing over him, a deep frown pulling his lips down. Callistus had bright violet eyes that flashed like the stars and a wavy gold and white pelt. Shakun vaguely remembered that Callistus took more after his mother, the demon Goddess of Famine, in looks than anyone else in the family. He even had the blackened tip of his tail and ears that he remembered so well. He had never liked Eutropia and regretted that she was still alive and tormenting wolves with both her powers and physical punishments. For some reason Callistus had been a fluke in her litter and even though the blood of demon Gods ran purely through his veins he had turned out to be just a plain God like his younger sister Ambrosia had only turned out to be a normal wolf. If she had ever taken a mate, however, she would indubitably have produced at least one demon God.
Callistus was one of the only relatives from that particular side of the family that he really liked. ”Shakun?” his uncle asked, narrowing his bright eyes. Shakun continued to stare at one of the golden armbands set with bright jewels that starkly contrasted to the white fur on his legs silently. His eyes flicked up to the Egyptian collar around his neck, and then blue eyes met pale violet and he awaited whatever punishment he received. ”I’m ashamed. You should not have entered the dreams of a Goddess, or anyone else for that matter. I don’t know how you could have even managed it since your power has nothing to do with dreams or seeing inside the mind. I thought all you could do was read thoughts.” Shakun wrinkled his brow thoughtfully and pushed himself up on his paws. He stretched out the muscles in his legs languorously and sat, wrapping his bushy tail around his muscular haunches. He winced when his front leg stretched out, remembering the bite that one of the revolting rapist wolves had left there. “You’re right, Callistus. I have no idea how all of this,” he gestured to the dream around him with a jerk of his head, “happened.” Callistus couldn’t see anything but white around Shakun, but he nodded agreeably anyways(Sorin will be able to see and hear him if she wants to.). ”Shutup for a minute while I try and figure this all out. Actually, don’t shutup. Tell me what the name of the little pup that is with you is and if you don’t know it, tell me what she looks like.” Shakun had just felt his jaw clamp tightly shut in response to Callistus’ command, but it loosened when he told him not to shutup. A little confused, he blinked and provided a brief description of Etta. ”Hm,” Callistus thought, lips thinning when he pressed them together. ”I know who that pup is. She has a sad fate, that one. Anyways, something weird must have happened when your power and hers brushed and she sucked you into the dream world. Your punishment will be very simple one since it was an accident.” He took a step forward and whispered something to his nephew before vanishing from Shakun’s view(he’s still there watching Shakun, and Sorin will still be able to see him if she wants).
Shakun stuck out his lower lip defiantly, but his paws betrayed him and he padded after Sorin, standing next to her silently before he finally spoke from between gritted teeth. “My mother was Alcippe, the Goddess of Psyche.” Not knowing what to say next, he sat in seething silence for a while. “I only met her once before she was killed for betrayal. The wolf that raised us was a wet nurse that was kidnaped from the pack my father came from, who called themselves the “Regency”. She taught us everything that we needed to know about the tradition of my father’s kind. In the pack I grew up in there was a demon God of Death, and he was my grandfather. Ealdræd’s mate and my grandmother was the demon Goddess of Famine who’s name is Eutropia. Ealdræd was... very strange, and I fear that he was never right in his head. Maybe I inherited that from him.” Shakun paused and glanced sidelong at Sorin before continuing. “Eutropia fed his insanity with her words and actions. I think that she was just using him, but I can’t be sure. Now Ealdræd is dead and he wants revenge upon her. It’s funny because there was one time that he didn’t seem insane at all and he told me something strange, something like ‘Shakun, you belong to neither’.” He grimaced but continued on reluctantly. “My aunt, demon Goddess of Plague and Affliction, wanted my siblings and I dead but was too lazy to ever actually kill us.” His ears pinned against his head. “Her name is Praxis. My aunt Ambrosia and uncle Callistus were the only ones that were sympathetic to us. Everyone but my aunt Praxis loved my sister Angela because she turned out to a demon, so she was never around us much. A year after we were born, we were all trained to fight and kill. We all managed to escape in our third year, and we were surprised and suspicious when Angela wanted to come with us. It turned out she was fed up with the pack and wanted to go somewhere else to torment other wolves...,” he finally trailed off and fell silent, traveling back in his memories to his younger years. Entarrie’s gaze followed the wolf’s body as it spun farther and farther up into the air and slowed when gravity began its downward pull. She hung there almost suspended for a moment before plummeting at an alarming rate towards the ground. The icy spikes shot up to meet her body and ripped into her permeable flesh with a smattering of blood, effectively ending her life. Her jaw slightly ajar, Entarrie stared at the spot a moment before turning, still with a shocked expression, to search for her body. The ice melted into water and soaked the ground, making it easier for her to pad across the ground toward the body that was hidden in the bushes somewhere near the edge of the clearing. Sticky blood ran run her matted, tangled fur and on to the leaves, which sagged under the weight of the added gore. She was busy snuffling around in the bushes when she heard a soft noise different from the falling blood and whipped around to see a figure with a small orb around its neck that flashed brightly when she looked at it. She froze and followed her eyes to the female laying on the ground in a mingled puddle of blood and water. Her whole body sagged when she thought of how it was probably her fault that she had died, and she looked at Zilla dispiritedly.
“I didn’t mean for that to happen,” she whispered. The female looked like she was having a hard time moving from the spot. “I tried to keep her from dying, but she thought I was one of those... things...,” she nodded at the body of a rapist wolf, sneering in disgust, “and went crazy with rage because she thought I killed her brother.” Entarrie’s voice was unnaturally high pitched for the male body that she was possessing and sounded very odd. “I’m really not one of them. I can prove it, I think.” She watched Zilla warily, hesitantly before slowly sticking her head back in the bushes and grasping her body by the back of the neck, pulling it out and laying it gently on the ground in front of her in the driest place she could find. “The wolves that you saw following you kidnaped me and took me somewhere... and when I woke, I panicked and my spirit left my body and moved into the one that I’m in now.” For a minute she was distracted by the wounds and scratches on her body. She leaned her head down and her grayish tongue nearly darted out to swipe a particularly nasty cut, but she recoiled at the last second when she remembered what body she was in and the many diseases it could possibly be carrying.
For the first time she took in the other wolf’s appearance, looking at the blue fur that fell over one eye, the bauble hung around her neck, and her sticky wings. A chill crawled up her spine and she looked around suspiciously, but saw nothing. Something is following me, I know it, she thought. If you could remember, then you would know, the voice answered. She silently voiced all of her questions to the voice in her head, urging it to answer them as quickly as possible. Can’t you smell it? Entarrie forced the body she was borrowing to take in a deep breath using her strings to manipulate the lungs, and she did indeed smell something strangely familiar. She couldn’t... quite... place the smell... She turned her head quickly to the right in time to see a little black shadow flit through the brush and followed it with her dead eyes. The shadow was so small that it could have belonged to a year-old pup, but Entarrie was wary. The shadow reminded her of something worse than a pup... something that haunted the edge of her mind like a ghost wanting revenge upon its killer. He felt a thrill travel through his little body. Was it true? Was it really, truly true? He wished that he could get closer to the wolves he saw, but that wouldn’t do! Oh no, it definitely wouldn’t do at all! The one he thought... she or he just HAD to be... she or he was watching so closely that he couldn’t get any closer. Finally he saw his chance and streaked closer, taking in the sight of the dead, mangled bodies and the female or male that was explaining how she or he had somehow found his or her self inside of a dead body. That definitely sounded... it could only be... yes, she had really seen him! His eyes glowed with a new insanity that shook his whole body. Yes, oh yes, this was perfect! If she really was... he stared intently at the little body, noticing the feminine qualities right away. If he was right about her, then the games... oh, the games, the lovely games... would begin again. He turned up his nose and sniffed, drawing in the scent of her body. He was just a few inches from the body, hidden in the brush, and the possessed body was staring at the place where he was quizzically. He could just barely smell her over the scent of the rain and death, but she really was... his eyes widened even more if possible. His maw tilted up to the bloody sky and he sang out an agitated howl, dashing off the way he came, unnaturally quick even for a speedy wolf. She is, she is! She really is one and she’s a Principle, too!
Entarrie stared at the brush next to her with her head tilted to the side, narrowing her eyes. She could swear that she saw a little wolf there, but maybe it was just a trick of her eyes, a hallucination or something. She shuffled herself so that she was standing over her body in a half crouch and stayed very still, watching. Without warning a strangled-sounding, thin howl pierced her ears and the little shadow she had seen before crashed through the undergrowth noisily. ”What the HELL?” she snarled, fur fluffing up around her shoulders. Entarrie thrust her head into the bush, but the thing had disappeared as quickly as it had gotten there. For the moment she forgot all about Zilla and thrust her shoulders into the bush after her head. She stared at the wolf’s paw prints for a minute before pulling back and returning to stand protectively over her body again. After a minute of consideration she remembered Zilla again and looked up at her. Entarrie’s expression of sadness had been replaced by alertness and annoyance showed by the mad twitching of her tail.
”Do you have any idea what that was?”She could feel it... she could feel the dream coming and this time she wouldn’t be able to stop it. The darkness closed in and lengthened into a cove lit by the red light of dusk. Etta felt the dread flare up into frantic fear; she didn’t want to see what was coming. The light fell across the edge of a cave opening, a cave that had stayed so well protected for so long. It just so happened that a gigantic black wolf had dozed off sitting up just outside of the entrance. His blue edged wings fell limp at his sides and his head sagged towards the ground with his tongue hanging out of his mouth, dripping shimmering strands of drool like he was greeting the darkness with a sleep induced bow. Vines of green ivy curled over the face of the sheer cliff face, an odd place for it to grow, but it was flourishing despite the place. The glow of the setting sun stained the white sand red like blood and the ocean glittered like jewels had been scattered across the surface. There were small snores coming from the cave behind him, but the strangest sounds were small titters and giggling coming from the trees that cropped up not far from the spot.
The male grunted loudly and jerked his head in his sleep, and the giggling was cut off ominously. A gigantic, shaggy creature stepped out of the darkened forest followed by a dark eyed, pretty young female. The creature she was following was equally ugly to the female’s prettiness and looked so deformed that it might have been inbred. In reality it was a halfbreed descended directly from a dragon and a wolf, closer to neither and ugly as hell. Unnaturally long and sharp teeth stuck out above its top lip on the left side and in some place it was hard to tell whether or not he had scales or fur. Shark spines emerged from him at random places and one twisted horn grew out of the left side of his head. It looked like the other one had been ripped right from its socket. It had multiple tails, some scaly and thin and some furry and thick. There were several ridges on his back and its paws(if you could call them that) were neither that nor talons. Its scarlet eyes had little scaly ridges above them and its maw tapered down until it was almost a beak. Two wings, one furrier than the other, were pulled tight against its sides. All in all, it was an ugly thing. His sister in contrast was beautiful and graceful. She was the best outcome of the litter and probably wouldn’t be bred with normal wolves at all. She had a neat layer of scales that thatched themselves all the way down her back, black, livid eyes, and gorgeous white and black fur. Her eye teeth sank slightly below her upper lip and her claws tapered sharply at the tips sharply. Two short horns curved back from her head and her tail was long, thin, and whippy. She too was neither here nor there, but one thing was certain and that was that neither of them were up to any good.
The two of them strode side by side to the front of the cave until they were a few yards in front of the male, sand shifting beneath their large paws. They stopped short, watching him for a few seconds and exchanging meaningful glances until the ugly male finally spoke in a tongue so old that the origins of the language were forgotten. ”K gpp tyvt inw yvfpq't oyvqrpc awoy, Qnoksw. Vhevig ghput nq typ bnz, ipvy. Qpfps ckc cn ephh ekty hvox nl ghppu, ywy?” His voice was low and musical despite his disturbing appearance. The male’s head jerked up and the sound of the ugly creature’s voice and he stared for a moment, taking them in for a split second before he lunged, jaws darting toward the ugly halfling’s throat to silence him forever. Then the two wolves were on him like fleas on rats, dragging him down and ending his life with a quick bite that severed his jugular and ended his life. His body landed with a muffled thump in the sand, his eyes glazed over and white tongue trailing from his mouth. An angry she wolf hurtled from the cave with blinding speed, but she was thrown up in the air and smashed cruelly onto the face of the cliff where the vines bound and choked the life from her.
Everything grew dark around Etta. She was once again in the cave huddled in the back with her brother Shen, who buried his face in her fur to hide his eyes and the glittering tears that were suspended from his whiskers. Etta howled in outrage and raced to the edge of the cave, but stopped at the entrance when something warm and wet dripped onto her head. She slowly looked up and saw her mother’s body hanging limp and dead in the vines. Etta slowly looked back at the two wolves disbelievingly, backing into the comforting darkness of the cave. Slowly they followed and she backed further and further into the dark until there was nothing but blackness and the glowing scarlet of the intruders’ eyes. ”Eyvt yvfp inw cnqp?” she whispered, ending it in a high pitched whine. ”Inw gynwhc rn vevi qne.” She began to tremble like a leaf in the wind, listening to their echoing whispers. She’s the perfect one, one of them hissed softly. Yes, she looks like she’d make a suitable meal, hissed the other. So tender, and no fatty meat. If not, then she will make a wonderful concubine for October when she’s older. Their scarlet eyes advanced closer and they laughed harshly, making the darkness echo. They wove closer and in mid stride their undulating bodies morphed into sinuous coils that glittered even in the blackness. For a moment they disappeared and shadowy shapes darted around her in wide circles, giggling frantically. ”Ey-eyvt vsp inw cnkqr?!” Etta screeched.
Something was badgering her, begging her to remember that none of it was real and that it was nothing but a dream. She immediately stopped trembling and stood up tall though her legs were shaking worse than before. ”QN! she shouted loudly. ”K onqtsnh cspvag, qnt inw vqc inw ovqqnt ywst ns govsp ap kq ai neq cspva ektynwt gwllpskqr typ onqgpjwpqopg! Qne rpt nwt zplnsp K'a lnsopc tn wgp pdtspap apvgwspg!” She bared her little teeth at the nothingness and abruptly the giggling stopped. For a while there was a hair raising silence, but then a pair of scarlet eyes erupted from the velvety black darkness and she screamed out of rage rather than fear. The scream seemed to be a trigger because the eyes came to a shuddering halt and melted into one pair of black eyes that blinked down at her. They glared at her icily, flying down to engulf her in their watery darkness so that she felt like she was spinning uncontrollably. Etta growled and she flew out, watching the dark, cruel eyes burst into hundreds of colorful flowers. She plummeted towards a pretty golden field, the cold air making her eyes stream. Etta opened her wings to break the fall and landed on the ground, collapsing with a soft sigh of relief...In her sleep, Etta dug her paws into Shakun’s rib cage and he extended a wing unconsciously to cover her. Word count: 4583 Thoughts: Weeee! -twirls-

Accident? Sorin stopped, turning to Shakun. Anger flared somewhere in her mind, but she pushed it back. Anger would only cloud her judgment at the moment. "Amasite have many powers that are in direction connection with our souls and minds. None of us, not one, can do what you do. We can't, and won't intrude on another's mind. We use our powers to attack the physical body, not the mental. If we were able to do that, one of the five packs would've taken control of the entire wolf population, Shakun. We see that power as a taboo, something that throws us out of winning battles and just plainly cheating. For, if you can go into one's mind, what is to stop you from finding their weak spot? Maybe their past? Maybe the fact they've killed? What is to stop you?" She paused, curling her upper lip back to reveal her teeth. "Nothing. Nothing is there to stop you." She finished, growling softly. She relaxed her expression with surprise when the new wolf appeared, the words he said to Shakun taking her completely by surprise. What the hell was that wolf doing here? It was bad enough Shakun was here, now who was this wolf? She watched him, watching how he moved. She could tell he was confident, powerful, and commanding. Was he an Immortal, or a God? Her eyes narrowed, body stiffening. This wolf dared walk into her dreams? Shakun, she was still mad at, but this wolf she didn't even know! Wait- what was he saying to Shakun? She listened then, ignoring the pounding in her ears. Punishment? Minor? Accident? How could Shakun let himself be ordered around like that? If anything, this made Sorin that more angry at him. How could he be so weak, to let himself be pushed around in such a manner? Sorin's upper lip twitched. She wanted to snarl at this male, she wanted him out of her mind, she wanted him gone. Then he was, or, he had been. To her, he disappeared and reappeared as quickly as the other wolf had. She moved to step forward, to challenge this wolf, but Shakun reached her before she could as much as set her paw down. She flicked her gaze to him, listening to his story with a relaxed expression, and as far as she knew, unreadable. First, she would listen, then act on what she heard. She let a silence fill the air, than finally took a step back, to give her more space between him and her. "What done is done, nothing we can do to change it. All we can do is try to change the future. After our, our fates and destinies are our own. We are born to who we are, nothing can change that. Why dwell on the past?" As she spoke the words, her expression remained calm. She still felt angry that he hadn't at least warned her of the fact he could enter other's minds, but there was something else on her mind. She gave Shakun a weak smile before she flicked her gaze back to the male that stood, watching. "And as for you, you punish him for being in my dream, but yet here you are? What high horse did you fall from?" She snapped, moving around Shakun to face the wolf. She let her anger spill out then, her eyes narrowing at the wolf. God or Immortal, she wasn't going to stand for him being there. "I ask you, what would he do if he didn't try to reach out? For all I know, they are trying to kill me at this very moment. Would you punish him for not saving me then? If I were you, I'd stop sending out punishments left and right, so he can get the hell out of here, and I don't end up dead." She continued, sitting where she stood in between the two, her tail wrapping around so it brushed her paws. She looked small, maybe even fragile. Maybe that was what she wanted them to think. Yes, it was. She flattened her ears against her head, putting the last topper on the 'innocent' look she was trying to play off. "And if he accidently got here, why are you here, on purpose? What is your punishment? Or are you too good to have one? And who are you to order him around like that? If you were of Amasite blood, then you would've shown him a great disgrace and would've been put to death one way or the other." She spoke in an even tone then, tilting her head to the side, her green eye flashing in anger. True anger. It was different from the anger and hate she had felt before, for so long. This feeling was pure, true. She didn't hold it back, but she didn't let it control her actions either. If this male lashed out at her, she wouldn't hold back. After all, it was her dream. Certainly she could create something that was like her Ribbon here. This wolf deserved it, in her eyes. Punishing Shakun when he did the same thing on purpose. A tight smile pulled on her lips, her left ear twitching as though to scare a fly away from it. "I don't know who you are, buddy , but I want you out. I want you out of my mind, I want you out of my dream, and I want you to leave us alone before innocent lives are lost. 'Cause I can tell you, whatever you are, God, Immortal, or some freakish species that actually has horns and can create illusions with light, whatever these wolves are planning, if they get to complete their plans, it'd be hell for you too. Really, I don't know what or who you are. I don't care. I. Want. You. Out!" Her voice slowly changed from calm to a low growl, the scene before them shifting, changing as quickly as it had moments before. The wind that picked up tossed her fur; the clouds that recovered the sky were a deep, threatening black. She remained calm though. This was her dream, her realm to control, her mind. She stood up, shaking her fur free of the rain that had splattered on it from before, the storm not increasing or decreasing in strength as she did so. She turned away from the wolf, hesitating before she took a step. "I know not what you have in connection with this wolf, but I do not want you in my dreams again. If I make it through this predicament that is, thanks to your unwelcomed delay. If I don't, well..." Her voice trailed off, her eyes flicking to look at him over her shoulder. "Don't think it'll be the last of me that you see." No, if she died, she wouldn't let him live a day without her haunting him. Even if it meant she wouldn't cross over to her next life. He had treaded in her dream, without her knowing who he was, and then threatened... or punished the only one who had any chance of saving her, delaying the action more? This wolf thought too much of himself, and she wouldn't stop until he became crazed. If he was the sole reason that delayed any action, she would make sure she sent him into a crazed state. No, she wouldn't let him live a day without her standing there, waiting for him to be driven insane. She would find a way, if it came to that. She turned then, padding to Shakun. The wind howled in her ears, plastered her fur to her sides, but she paid it no mind. Not even when the spiraling twisters dropped down, circling around the trio. It was her doing, after all. It was her dream, in her mind. She could control it as long as she was there. Now that the one that had somehow taken control of her dream was gone, she could do with this dream as she wished. She stopped when she came to Shakun, looking at him. Anger still flared in her eyes, but it wasn't directed at him, no. Not now. "Let's get you out of here," She muttered, eyes glancing up at the sky. Now how would she do that? Sorin sighed, mind racing. Shakun had the ability to read other's thoughts.. She would ask him about that later, but for now.. She spun around to face him, ears flat against her head. "Have you tried to find your body like you searched for my own?" She asked, as though completely unaware of the storm that still raged on, or the wolf that she had yelled out moment ago was still there, possibly responding to her outburst. "Or maybe the pup's?" She continued, mind racing with possibilities. If he got back in his body, would he be trapped in his own dream? That would be odd, but... "Shakun, before anything else happens," she paused, glancing at the wolf that was behind him, or at least, where he had been when she last saw him. She turned her gaze back to Shakun, letting the silence envelope her thoughts. "When you get back, my Ribbon will still be in the shield. How these things got past it, I don't know... but if you walk up to it and simply touch it, then it should shrink away and reform into its normal shape. Then it should lead you to my body." Dead or alive. She didn't speak the last words, instead changing the subject. "We've got to get you out of here before harm comes to you. No one should be in the mind of one of my kind, it messes with their mind in ways it isn't always good." She paused, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "At least, I've always been told that." She added, frowning slightly. Come to think of it, most of the things she knew she had been told as a pup. When she was in that emotion-drained state of mind, she didn't talk to a lot of wolves. Maybe in her travels from now on, she would try to find out more than just the ways of her kind. Sorin turned to the sky then, blinking a few times. Even with the wind tossing her fur every which way, the sky once again darkened by threatening clouds, and twisters circling them... It was peaceful. She jumped when something sliced across her cheek, drawing a fresh spill of blood that seeped down into her fur. It felt burning hot when it did so, and she jumped again when another wound opened on her paw. She lifted it to her mouth, drawing her tongue across it at few times. She closed her eyes, remaining calm. They were trying to wake her up, she could tell. She wouldn't, not until at least Shakun was out of this dream. Wait- what was that? She froze, tongue half-drawn across her paw. No, it couldn't... Not now! There it was again. This sent a shiver along her body, her eyes growing wide in fear. No, not now. This was the worst possible time, the worst possible place... "Go!" She shouted, her voice hoarse. Sorin could feel her heart pounding, a fresh wave of pain causing her to gasp, forcing her eyes closed. She could feel her mind reeling as she slowly moved to lay down, a new cut surfacing along her cheek. She didn't even feel it, the new pain much worse. She laid her head on the cold ground, ears flattened against her head. So this was what she asked for, this was what her kind went through as a punishment. Pain shrieked through her body, each movement sending new waves of pain that spread and spread. She didn't dare open her eyes. She didn't dare move. She didn't dare speak. She laid there, teeth clamped together, as random cuts started to spread over her body as her physical being was being attacked outside of the dream. Nothing would wake her up from this thing until it was over, she knew that somewhere.. but where, she knew not. All she was fully aware of was the pain that seemed to throb in her veins. The wind and storm that she had created had disappeared, the scenery changing. The field faded quickly, retreating to a stony cliff and layout. Cliffs rose up everywhere, pebbles falling from ledges higher up. The sky turned to a stormy gray, a soft icy breeze stirring. Sorin didn't even realize it. She was too busy with the pain. She whimpered softly, body shaking from the pain. She didn't know if Shakun or that other wolf was still there. She didn't know if she cared if they were there or not. She was fading from in the dream to the waking world, where every time a new cut appeared it sent a shockwave through her body. But she couldn't wake up, not until Shakun was gone, and that other wolf. She didn't want either trapped inside her mind. Her heartbeat pounded in her ears, blocking out all words that she could have possibly been said. There was no escape, not from this. She couldn't run, no. This was what she got for choosing her feelings, to not kill without reason.. And it hurt like hell. One thing Sorin didn't know was that as the pain spread, so did something else. The ends of her fur had turned pitch black, and was slowly spreading down to her roots. However, her black markings were turning red, the color of her original fur. And the one white marking well.. stayed white. She was changing, not only mentally, but physically too. While her soul was more or less being rearranged, her fur was changing... Something no other Amasite had experienced. I didn't mean for that to happen. I tried to keep her from dying, but she thought I was one of those... things... and went crazy with rage because she thought I killed her brother. Zilla watched the male move about, trying to explain the scene. His voice sounded off to her, but she didn't pay it any mind. "I don't know this wolf." She finally stated, looking down at the bodies at her paws. "I've only one concern, and that is the wellbeing of the pack." She blinked once, raising her head. She listened to the wolf's story, a bland expression on her face. Why did this wolf think she cared?
That was when Zilla heard the voice and froze, her eyes wide. "Riz..." She whispered, finally managing to take a step back. She closed her normal eye, watching the shape of the dragon as her orb flared to life, Riz coming out with his wings outstretched, twisting and turning until he landed beside her. One of his large wings hovered over Zilla's head, and she opened her normal eye to see that it was actually several feet above her, Riz's giant head pointed at the male wolf, his eyes staring past her. Zilla moved closer to Riz, her heart pounding. The shadows.. The one thing that could destroy her without her true being moving on... was there. She could feel it. Growls of outrage circled in around her, and she turned to see, through Riz's wing, two of the large wolves coming at her. She growled softly, Riz turning his head and swiping his tail so that it went through both wolves. She watched as they had a look of dumbfoundedness crossed their faces before it was shifted into pain. They fell, digging at the ground as Riz's light tore them from the inside out.
Zilla turned back to the first male wolf, the one with the odd voice, unmoving as Riz's wing touched her back, the blood that clung to her boiling and falling to the ground. She glanced up, watching as his size shrank until he was small enough to sit on her shoulder, wrapping around her throat with the orb in his front claws, his eyes searching the area around them for the shadow.
"Shadows..." Zilla whispered, backing up more. "The shadows..." She repeated, turning and running. She didn't look back, she could barely feel Riz's claws as he tightened his grip on her fur to stop from falling off. After a while he uncurled himself from her neck, instead taking flight beside her, his eyes sweeping the area in front of them for attacks. That was when he passed through something, and Zilla ran face-first into it.
Zilla stumbled back, landing on her butt as she shook her head. Dazed and confused she looked up to see Riz flying back to her, flying to a stop to rest on her head. She frowned up at him, then turned her attention to what she had ran into. There, before her, she saw the stretch of a shield that somewhat resembled the one she made.
She stood up and padded forward, inspecting it with her paw. At first nothing happened, then it hit something solid and she let out a gasp when she saw two sleeping figures appear, then disappear. She blinked a few times, silently cursing the fact she couldn't pass through in her trapped form, and watched as light weaved around her. A blue shield formed around her, fitting around her body perfectly. She padded forward then, closing her eyes as she stepped through the shield, and looked up around her. Now she could see it, the shifting colors that combined inside it. She stared at it, puzzled, until she looked down at the two sleeping in the center of it.
Tilting her head, she stepped forward, curious as to who made the shield. She padded up to the two, noting that one was a pup, and the other seemed to be a winged wolf such as herself, and had a wing draped over the pup. Maybe he was a brother? He looked too young to be a father, but who was she to speak? She was an immortal, after all.
She backed up a step, then laid down there. She laid her head on her paws where she stared straight at the male, waiting for him to awake. Riz, whom was still sitting on her head, bent down, crawling and growing to match her size, copying her action so he stared at the pup. Then he lighted his head, making a chirping sound and shrinking to the pup's size. Then he quieted down, lying down so he stared into her eyes.
It seemed that both of them had forgotten the shadow, and the male they had run into only moments ago. Something else had caught their interest, it was normal for them.[/sub]

Skyla ran through the forest, blood and tears mixed together and clogged her vision, where she could barley she what was in front of her. All she knew is that she had to keep on running, although she was not sure where too. Everything was screaming for her to stop, for the pain was unbearable, both physically and mentally. However she knew that if she stopped…it would all be over. If she did not stop running…she closed her eyes and felt tears drip down her wet cheek, she did not want even think to what could happen. Her heart had shattered in a million pieces and her body ached. Perhaps it would be better to give up. She shook her head, how could she even think of those words? She had fought too long to give up, then again, wasn’t that the problem? She had been fighting her whole life, ever since she was a pup. She was fighting to get her fathers attention, fighting along side Donovan, fighting to get away from her past, and now here she was once again fighting for her life. She began to slow down her pace; she could hear her heart pound in her chest. She hated it so much. She hated that her whole life she had to fight to survive, those few relaxing days hanging out with love ones and laughing were a blur in her memory. She could only handle so much pressure…so much pain. She was not perfect; she wasn’t even remotely close to the word. She took a deep breath. She could hear them. Their voices rung in her ears and their paws pounded upon the ground. A shiver ran down her spine. Why did she feel all alone, she closed her eyes, a sharp pain came over her body and she fell to the ground, she cursed under her breath. Why now?! Darkness began to come over her as she began to see to figures off in the distance.
“Father!” The younger voice of Skyla rung in her ears as she watched wide eye as a young version of herself walked through the meadow, the wind blowing through her fur, a serious expression upon her maw as she faced her father. “You will not escape me again, Father!” Skyla said as she gradually began to make her way over to her father. In the distant a group of black, red eyed wolves were staring at them, waiting for their Alphess command to attack and destroy him. “Be ready to be killed!” Skyla shouted angrily. The older version gasped as she saw a tear glistened in her young eye as she screamed at her father. A pain shot through her body, but she was unable to move, she had to be stuck here and watch this horrible memory. She watched with horror as her younger self ran forward, tears dripping out of her eyes.
“Skyla…”Phantom spoke with a pained expression a sad smile flickered across his maw. “Skyla,” he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, “I’m sorry for everything.” Right when he whispered those words the younger Skyla struck him with her developed physic powers in where deep cuts appeared all over Phantom’s body. He groaned in pain and slowly fell to the ground and Skyla stood there with wide eyes. Phantom slammed into the ground and closed his eyes, but still he spoke, each word was painful for him to let out. “Skyla, I’m sorry I yelled at you. I did to you, what my parents did to me, I’m the worst. I hope that someday you’ll be able to forgive me, Skyla, and I hope you soon know how much I love you.” He said and closed his eyes. The older Skyla watched as her younger self screamed at the top of her lungs, tears dropping down from her eyes.
“FATHER!!” She cried as she fell down upon his bloodied body and began to cry, heavily. “I’m sorry, father! I-I didn’t mean too! I’m the horrible one! Father…please don’t die on me! I’m sorry!” Skyla cried heavily, however she was not alone. Off in the distance she could hear the rest of the packs mourn for their Alpha, who they believed to be dead.
“Skyla…” Her father’s words cut through her heart and she stopped crying, lifting her head up to see her father was actually still alive, which caused even more tears. “Skyla, do not worry about me, my time is not up yet…but I can feel that it is somewhere in the future. Skyla, listen to me, and head these words I’m about to say. You must remain strong. I’m afraid because of my selfish ways you are going to have to fight to live for a very long time. I’m sorry. Promise me you won’t give up. Even when you are faced between a love and the sea, don’t give up!”
The flashback faded leaving Skyla feeling a cold empty feeling at the pit of her stomach and a pain shot through her heart and body. She slowly picked herself up. And looked at the ground. Her father must have known this was going, back then she did not understand when he said “between a love and the sea.” She tilted her head upwards and heard the sound of the sea slamming against the cliff that was only a few yards away. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. “I’m sorry father, for I forgot.” She took a few steps forward, she could hear them come closer, and she knew there was no point in running anymore, because they were going to catch up with her. Might as well as reserve the small amount of energy she had left. She did not know how long she stood there, as she took her breath, but she did not have to look up to know that they were not surrounding her. She raised her head slightly to see Kainam coming from the crowd, a cruel twisted look upon his face, not the calm expression he had on when they were together only a few hours before. Her heart pounded in her chest just to look at him, but she kept her face serious. She couldn’t give up. For her father and for her pack, she just couldn’t, but she wasn’t sure if she would be able too.
“Kainam.” She hissed as he took a step forward, and she took a step back. Every time she looked at him, her heart pounded furiously in her chest, and she felt the worst pain ever. He betrayed her in every way. She didn’t even want to look at him, or think about him, why couldn’t he just leave her the hell alone? She tore her gaze away from him, unable to stand it anymore. The pain was too great, but she held back the tears. She would not allow herself to show weakness in front of him. If he knew it, then it would be easier to tear her down.
“Skyla,” He said in a cold emotionless tone. She did not understand, and then again, how could she? She would never understand that although he was doing this, didn’t exactly mean he wanted too. He had to choice. It was something that she could not comprehend, and he would not try to tell her, he would leave it a mystery to her; it was better that way for hm to close off all his emotion. After all, it was not Kainam’s fault; it was Ayla’s fault for telling Tero. He was seriously pissed off her and Tero had given him an earful for what he had done and so Tero had to remind Kainam why Kainam stuck by Teros side, no matter how much he hated him, and in the end Kainam gave in, agreeing to Tero, and so here he was, “it is better if you do not try to fight us, Skyla. Because the end is going to be the same.” He spoke in a slow tone, closing his eyes for a split second. Tero had something that belonged to him, something that he could not live without, actually it was far more important then life, because truthfully Kainam did not care if he died. But he could not lose the thing that Tero stole from him. That is why he was here, and that is why he was doing this. He took a few steps forward, but each step he made, she took a step backwards, refusing to even look at him for one second. Of course he understood it. Damn, he shouldn’t have done anything in the first place, perhaps this wouldn’t have been so far if he had done it a lot sooner, and hadn’t grown so close to her.
“Shut up, Kainam! You idiot! Stay away from you!” Skyla growled as she finally looked at him with all the hatred and pain in the world. “So it was all a trick, right from the beginning! You were just trying to lower my guar, make me trust you, and in the end you would destroy me! Well I’m not going to let you do that, Kainam!” Skyla said as she charged forward, and with all her weight, slammed her body into his side, causing him to fall to the ground. She stood over his body as she took deep breaths. She was such a fool to actually think that he cared about her. She watched as he pushed himself up from the ground, but did not attack her, like she expected. So, she was still playing games with her, well she wasn’t going to let him have the best of her. “Stand up, Kainam! You wanted to kill me, where here I am! What are you waiting for?” She snarled, keeping her composure, however inside she was breaking apart. She felt her knees shaking, but she would remain tall. She knew what would happen if she broke down, but she felt like she was on the edge of insanity. She watched as wide eyes as Kainam took a few steps forward, and for a split second she sore she seen a calm look flicker in his eyes, then vanish. She hesitated for a moment and took a few steps backwards. She had no idea what she was planning. He said nothing, which made it even worst. She could feel her eyes burning, but she held back the tears.
“Kainam you bastard!” Skyla cried as she growled, digging her claws into the ground. “Why are you doing this? Why are you pulling me alone! Just stop it!” And without knowing it the tears released from her eyes and dripped down to the ground. She didn’t know why the teas were following, damn, she promised she would remain strong, she told herself she would not cry anymore. She felt as if her weaker self got the better of her. She stood there staring with hazy eyes at Kainam, whose reaction did not change when he saw her tears. She shook her head, as she began to cry softly. She hated that she had fallen for him, she hate herself for giving into her passions, she tried to push him away many times, but he kept coming back! For a split moment she believed that he was different, that he actually cared, but it was all lies! She could feel her heart began to break into a million pieces, she felt each piece drop into the bottom of her stomach, causing a sharp pain to erupt throughout her body. She felt so cold and all alone. She had fallen in love with Kainam, and he didn’t even care! He never cared, she was the idiot, she was the fool, for actually believing in him.
“Skyla.” Kainam said as he shook his head. He felt his heart stop when she began to cry, but he would not show his concern upon his face. If only she understand. He turned his face and watched as the ones who had followed the Beta Male began to encircle Skyla, who did not realize how dangerously close she was getting toward the edge of the cliff. He had to do this. Not because he wanted too. Unlike some he had no option. Tero held something that was more important then life itself. You see, Kainam isn’t exactly ‘alive’ then again he wasn’t really ‘dead’ either. He was a spirit, just like his sister, they were alive several hundred years ago and they caused much trouble in the world. Because of their hateful sins the Gods killed them, but sent their immense power into an orb and placed it on a necklace and sent it into a barren land, for they could not destroy it. Kainam and Ayla was brought back by mysterious power of a witch who wishes to take Ayla and Kainam’s power, but was furious to realize that they did not have the orb with them. She demanded to know where it was, but Kainam and Ayla’s memory were whipped clean and they could not remember who they were in their past lives. They wandered around for a very long time, until they ran into Tero and his pack who knew all about Kainam and Ayla in legends. Of course their names had changed, back then their names were not Kainam and Ayla but actually Akinam and Lyla, the Deadly Twins, was one of their few nicknames, they had hundreds.
Kainam closed his eyes as his past became clear to him. When they met Tero and he showed them the orb they instantly recalled their memories. They demanded it back, but he would not give it to them. He told them if they did what they asked here, then they would hand back the orb, if not then Tero would use it to destroy the world. Kainam closed his eyes, he was not the same as he was back when he was Akinam, for now he actually had a soul, and actually cared –although he didn’t like to admit it- he could not let Tero destroy the world, even if that meant tearing open his own heart and sacrificing the one wolf he actually cared about. He could not tell her though, because if the orb’s true name was spoken then that person would be cursed, unless they knew how to handle the name of the orb and Kainam believed that Tero did, or at least he didn’t seem to be cursed, but you never knew. Kainam turned his eyes and off in the distance he saw Ayla. He was still mad at her, but unlike Kainam, Ayla had an evil heart and wished to have the orb to spread evil throughout the land, but he knew the power was too much for one to handle. The two of them barley could use the powers there were born with, and almost destroyed everything. Once he got the orb back he would destroy it, so that no one could threaten it again. He wouldn’t let anyone have the orb. No, he did not trust, Tero, and believed that he would not get back the Orb, but Kainam knew in the end one way or another he would have the orb. I’m sorry, Skyla. You don’t know how much this kills me.
Skyla grinded her teeth together as she tried to stop the tears from flowing. It only showed how weak and pathetic she really was. She wanted to be strong, for her father, for her pack, for herself! She wanted to be someone everyone remembered. She wanted her father to look down at her and smile. She wanted years from now pack members talking about how brave she was and perhaps if she ever had children, have them proud to have her as a mother. Skyla took another step back. A shiver ran down her spine when she felt the spray of the ocean on her back. She twisted her head downward and realized if she took another step backwards she would fall into the ocean. She gulped as she saw the tall jagged rocks that could easily tear apart her body. The sea angrily crashed upon the cliff, the water was a deadly black color. Skyla managed to tear her head away from the ocean and look at Kainam. She felt tears drip from her eyes, for some reason no matter how hard she tried, she could not stop crying. She hated this pain that she was feeling inside; she believed it was worst then death itself.
“Kainam…”She whispered in a soft voice as she stared at him for the longest time. She loved him so much; she didn’t know when she had fallen for him. He was always there to comfort her, and he was so kind, she didn’t want to believe this was his true self. She wanted to believe that it was just a mistake, that he was the same like he was just hours before. Hours before when he suddenly left her all alone and then coming back telling her that he had to destroy her, making her run for her life. She had no idea what happened when he was gone. Something must have happened, unless this really was a trick. No, she didn’t want to believe it. “Kainam, why are you doing this?” She asked with a pained frown. “Kainam…I…I love you. Why?” the words slipped out of her maw, and caused even more tears to fall from her eyes. She did love him, she loved him so much, and yet he was here to kill her. Why do you do this? Do you not care about me anymore...did you ever care?
Skyla gasped, her eyes widen, when she felt Kainam wrap his head around hers, digging his forehead into her neck. She began to cry into his fur. She never cried like this before. Not even when her father died. No where close was the pain this strong. She dug her head into him and cried even harder. She felt him press his body even closer to her. “Kainam…Kainam...” she mumbled his name into his neck. She never wanted to let go. She wanted to be like this with him forever. She wanted to remember the warmth of his fur, the sweet smell of his aroma that made her feel safe. She felt Kainam shift his weight, lifting his head up to her and whispering those deadly words.
“Don’t love me. Hate me.”
He whispered and then he slammed his head against her chest, causing her to loose her balance. Everything seemed to slow down, as she took a few steps back, feeling as her paws crumble beneath her and began to slip toward the ocean below. Her eyes went wide as she tried to grasp a hold of the edge with her claws, however it was too late. She gradually began to fall down toward the angry ocean. Her eyes focused upon Kainam, and she could have sworn she seen a tear in his eye. “Kainam!!!!” The words tore from her lips as she fell toward the black abyss below.
I'm sorry, father. I let go.
She felt a sharp pain…and then the world was swallowed up by darkness.
Kainam turned his head away from her, not able to see her fall into the ocean. He hid his face from the others so they did not notice the tear that lingered in his eyes. You had to do it. Part of him wished that she would understand why he had to do it, although he felt like he died on the inside. After several minutes he forced himself to learn his head forward. He did not see her body, probably got swept away in the ocean, however he saw fresh blood splattered upon a few sharp rocks that were located near each other. A frown flickered across his maw and he felt a sharp pain in his heart when he spotted Skyla’s necklace on the ground beneath his feet, it must have snapped off when he pushed her down. He gently picked up in his mouth and turned to face his pack. He released the necklace and watched as it tumbled to the ground. “She’s dead.” He said in a strong voice. He lifted his head and howled. Howled letting everyone know of the Alphess death. With that he snatched up the necklace, and him and the rest of the pack ran back into the darkness. Ayla lingered behind, however. Staring at her brother, tilting her head to the side as a breeze blew through her dark fur.
Annika felt a heavy burden upon her heart as she crumbled to the ground. She was so weak from all the crying and everything that happened. For the next few moments she was oblivious to anything that was going around her. When she opened her eyes all she saw was darkness. She could not see anyone, however she could feel a presence near her, but she did not know who she was. A shiver ran down her spine as she twisted her body trying to get a glimpse that was near her. Annika grinded her teeth together as she closed her eyes, tears trickled out of her sky blue eyes. “Kratos…where are you…” She whispered. She was so worried, she had no idea what happened to him, and all she could of that the worst happened. Yet, she did not want to believe it. She wanted to keep hoping that he was alive somewhere; after all he was a God. Gods didn’t die off just like that.
“Annika…”
The familiar voice cut through Annika’s thoughts and she froze. She heard that voice before. The memory was hazy and it was difficult for her to remember, but she knew she heard it before. It was almost as if the voice was coming deep within her, deep within her mind Annika ignored the voice. She did not want to speak to anyone. She just wanted to be alone, at least for a few minutes, was that too much to ask?
“Annika…”
Annika tilted her head upwards and was quite surprised to find that she was not alone. There was another wolfess who looked very similar to herself…and yet was completely different. Her features were alluring and yet were sharp and her eyes were filled with dismay and darkness. Annika did not like the sight of the female who spoke her name. She turned her head away from her.
“Leave me alone, whoever you are!” Annika said in a bitter tone.
“That is quite impossible, because I am you.” The other wolf said as she stared at Annika. Annika shook her head at the thought. She knew there was no way that could be true. Annika was Annika…and this strange wolf was somehow a dream. Yes, this was all just a silly little dream. She would wake in the meadow finding out that none of this actually happened. None of it was true. Kratos did not know her secret. There was no war. There was no blood shed. No killing. Nothing, this was all just a nightmare. Yes, that had to be it.
“Annika, this is no dream. This is your reality. Your destiny is waiting for you. But you keep holding back.” The wolf said with a irritated frown. Annika looked back at the strange wolfess with wide eyes. Destiny? What was she talking about? A flashback of Annika waking up with blood all over her…and the death of that headless wolf, could it be possible that it was this wolf that killed that wolf in such a manner? She wasn’t quite sure what was going on. She was so confused, what did this wolf mean by her destiny? She did not have no destiny that was unique to anyone else. She just wanted to live a normal life. Was that too much to ask for?
“I do not know who you are or what you want, but go away! Why can’t you just leave me alone? I’m not going to listen to anymore of your lies!” Annika said with a quick nod of her head. Although she had a deep feeling that she knew this wolfess from before. She did not know if it was a past memory or what. If it was true or if it was not, she was not sure what to think or who to trust anymore. The way she used to live be ripped apart and now she had no idea where she needed to be or where to go.
“You know quite well who I am, Annika. For I am you, my name is Nikana and I’m apart of you and you are part of me. I am Annika and you are Nikana. We are one in the same.” Nikana said in a more gentle tone. As if she actually cared.
“No! That is just lies! You are not me. You are a murderous beast who kills like that! No, I will never admit that you and I are the same, because we’re not. I would never do that…” Annika said as she frowned her eyes growing wide. She knew the truth, however. She did kill someone, in a horrible way, someone who loved her, someone who Annika deeply cared about. “Kyros…” she mumbled under her breath, feeling the tears in her eyes. Shruikan’s words echoed in her ears. She killed him. He loved her, he did not cheat on her, he wanted to be with her and in the end she destroyed him. She killed him with her own paws. It was her fault. She was too blame.
“Annika, you must listen to me! You know you are different then the other Yuurie-Dao’s. Ever since you were born you could feel me within your soul, yet you pretended as if I didn’t exist. You wanted to push away your destiny…because you knew that in the end, your life wasn’t going to turn out the way you wanted it too, huh?” Nikana took a few steps forward and pressed her head against Annika’s, they were so close that Annika could hear Nikana’s heart beating in her chest, and watched as sadness lingered in the wolfess’ bright eyes. Looking at Nikana, Annika felt somewhat sorry for her, although she did not know why. Annika knew she spoke the truth, but she did not want to believe it. She was right, though, ever since she was younger she knew there was something different about her. She didn’t want to be different though. She wanted to grow up to be a Yuurie that many would remember for her good deeds – so she hid her pain. She hid behind a smile. Pretending to all the world and she that she did not have a darker side, lingering within her heart and mind.
“No, I don’t want this to happen….why? Why are you here, Nikana? What is my destiny?” Annika asked in a slow tone. She did not want to hear it, and yet she was curious. She had a bad feeling that whatever this destiny was, she was not going to like it one bit. She closed her eyes, not being able to meet Nikana’s hard gaze anymore. She did not want to believe that Nikana was part of herself. She did not want to know it. She did not want to accept it.
“You keep hiding the truth in your heart, when the truth is in front of you, speaking to you.” Nikana spoke the words that Annika kept buried in her heart. “I have been around for generations…” Nikana pushed herself away from Annika and took a few steps ahead. She did not turn to look at Annika. She had her head tilted upwards, as if looking up toward the sky…but they surrounded by darkness…it was then did Annika realize that this was a dream, a place deep within her heart and soul where she could communicate to Nikana. “You are not the first I’ve been in, and yet I’ve had many names. I sleep for several thousands of years and only awaken when I’m needed. Yuurie-Dao’s on the outside may look like perfect wolves, but they come with a deadly curse: me.” Nikana twisted her head and looked over at Annika; a cruel smirk flickered across her maw. Annika did not like where this was going. No, not one bit. She wished that Nikana would stop talking!
“Stop it, Annika! Stop pushing away your destiny, for it had been same with other females throughout the existence of Yuurie-Daos. Listen to me, and do not ignore me!” Nikana said in a low and dangerous tone. “You ask why I am here and I will tell you right now. I am here too destroy. Every few hundreds here I am reborn in a certain Yuurie-Dao wolf that is to sacrifice themselves in the end to destroy them.” Nikana suddenly became quiet. Annika felt a shiver run down her spine.
“Nikana! Here to destroy what? What is it that you must destroy! And what do you mean…to sacrifice myself?” Annika asked with a frown. She did not like this at all.
“My real name is not, Nikana. My real name is Yamani, I am a Goddess.”
“A Goddess!!!” Annika said, she was quite shocked in deed. Annika had seen her shares of Gods and Goddess, but Nikana…or Yamani whoever she was, was quite the opposite of the elegant Goddess that she has seen before. If anything she would have though Nikana was a demon of some sort.
“A demon! My goodness, well then again I suppose you could mistake me for one of those low lives…but seriously. This is not my true form, Annika. My true form is much different. Anyway, back to what I was saying. I am one of the Goddess who created the Yuurie-Daos wolves back in the beginning. Back then I was in love with a Demon named Jayden a powerful overlord who overstepped my warnings and created the Ryazarous wolves with his own blood.” She became quiet after speaking those words for a few minutes. It was then when Annika’s eyes widen. So Nikana was not a demon, but she had a demon lover. Annika frowned; she had never known that one could fall in love with something so evil, but the look in Nikana’s eyes told that she still loved Jayden. Annika felt bad, and she felt her own heart skip a beat. She wondered why that was. Perhaps because her and Nikana’s soul was intertwined with each other?
“The Ryazarous wolves imprisoned the Yuurie-Dao wolves for hundreds of years. I begged him to stop, but he did not listen to me, he only wanted power…and more power. So I set out to destroy Jayden…but then he stole something very precious to me. My mana. Without that I could never return to heaven. I destroyed him, but he threw it away before I could get it. I set the Yuurie-Daos wolves free and in the end I manifested myself in my own children that I created so I could find my Mana and return to heaven.”
“I still don’t understand. Why do you need to destroy the world to find your Mana?” Annika said with a frown. She knew that it must have been important to Nikana to get to heaven, but did that mean that she had to destroy the world? She wished she understood more.
“I see the world for how it really is. It is a horrible place, and I don’t know how it survived so long. I will do anything in my power to get my mana, and will stop at anything. For it if gets in the wrong hands…then that one will be able to go to heaven. And who knows what trouble that will cause.” Nikana’s eyes suddenly went back to being cruel instead of the lost look just moments ago. The sudden change caused a shiver to run down her spine. She did not like this at all.
“I will not let you destroy the world, Nikana! I can help you find your Mana. But I cannot right now!” The sudden images of Kratos being gone flashed through her memory. She had to find him and she had to help him. She just had too. “I have to find Kratos. I need to help him, please, Nikana! Let me go to Kratos!” Annika begged, feeling a pain in her stomach.
“Annika, there is no point in going to where Kratos is.” Nikana said with a small frown.
“What…what do you mean?” Annika asked, feeling her voice crack.
“He is dead.”
Annika felt her body suddenly get cold, and it became hard for her to breath. Dead? No, that couldn’t be it. She closed her eyes and ferociously shook her head. No! That wasn’t true. Nikana was lying again.
“No, you’re lying! Kratos is not dead!” Annika yelled.
“Yes, he is, stop hiding the truth from yourself, Annika. Kratos is dead. He has been dead ever since we started to speak. He is no longer part of this world, so just forget about him.” Nikana stated, rather harshly.
Annika felt her knees gave out and she fell to the black ground, the tears came, and they did not stop. She cried for several minutes; feel as if someone had just stabbed her heart. “No, no….that can’t be true…Kratos…he can’t be dead!”
“Believe it, for it is the truth, and you know it is! Just forget about the dead, Annika! Forget everything about him. in the end it will be better like that.”
“But…but…” Annika began to chock on her tears and she stumbled upon her words from crying so hard. “He can’t be d-dead…because…because I I think…I was falling in love with him…Kratos…Kratos. How can you ask me to forget him? That's impossible!” She buried her head in her paws and began to sob uncontrollably. "Kratos...why..."
Kratos...are you really gone? Why did you have to die? Why. I...I can't handle this pain. It is too great. I'm sorry.
Nikana stood there for some time, watching over Annika, shaking her head. “It does not matter how much you care or love someone. Happiness is not the ways for us, Annika. You must sacrifice your own happiness and own desire and go along with your destiny.” She took a few steps forward and laid across Annika. “We are one the same. I feel your pain as you feel my pain. It is time for you to let go. I need my Mana, otherwise we cannot survive…yes, that is right we. I have been destroyed in the past by Yuurie-Daos families, for they were afraid that i would destroy what they faught so hard to protect, , you were lucky to escape that…you must help me…do not fight your destiny anymore…it is okay. I promise I will help you, but the world is a cold place…Annika do not fight anymore. It is okay.”Annika slowly opened her eyes. “Is it really okay…” she whispered under her breath. “But if feels as if I should keep fighting…even if Kratos really is dead…I feel as if this is wrong…”
“It is not wrong. It is the right thing to do. I must have my mana.”
“But…but..”
“Let go..”
Annika closed her eyes and felt her body collapse beneath her, as if she had let go of a huge weight upon her shoulders. She drifted off into a deep sleep. Unable to feel the pain anymore. Such a wonderful feeling. Being able to let go.
Nikana opened her.
The world of darkness had vanished and in place was the world in which Annika was born from. She looked around as could smell the aroma of death, which lingered in the air. A smirk came upon her maw as she took a few steps forward. “Thank you, Annika, for letting go. Now it is time for me to do what I cam here to do.” She said as she took off running.
Kali remained silent for some time, letting his words echo in her ears. She closed her eyes and took a sharp breath. She had no idea what she was thinking when she said that. There was no point in him staying here. The past they once shared, once had was long gone, she knew that much. She doesn’t know why she couldn’t let go. Kaige seemed to let go of the past, or at least as far as she could tell. Unless once in a while he remembered, however the real question was, did she want him to remember. For some time she did not look at him, but she turned to look at him, but of course he did not return her gaze. She still remained silent, because she was not sure what to say. What could she say? She did not want to start anything with him, but the burning desire for blood made her crazy.
“I know the past is irrelevant, Kaige. For the past is not going to change. I know that much.” She said with a shrug of her shoulders. Digging her sharp claws into the ground. “Of course you may leave, I do not really care. There is no point in you being here, correct? Then again I have no reason to be here either.” She said as she tilted her head upward and felt the breeze through her soaked thick fur. She knew she did not look her best right now. She could feel the blood gradually began to dry and stick to her. She turned her head away from Kaige and took a few steps forward. “But the memories are still there, you cannot get rid of them, but you can ignore them.” she said with a deep sigh, shaking her head, what was she going on about? She wasn’t even sure.
“Anyway Kaige. It looks like you are doing well, I’m glad. I guess I should not take up any more of your time and let you be.” she said, though she was hesitant to leave. But she did not know why. There was no point for her to stick around. Idiot. She thought to herself.

{Color change: Shakun= aqua}
Serenity drowned Shakun like a roaring river rushing over his head. It flowed to fill every empty space in his being, filling up his eyes and his mind until there was nothing left but a lovely stasis. He wanted to stand still forever and bask in the feeling of inner peace that he had always longed to taste. It was like poison paralyzing his muscles until he couldn’t move a single part of his body. The whimsical emotion fled as quickly as it had flooded him in a mere matter of seconds. He didn’t know why, but he knew that if he didn’t leave there soon that some unspeakable darkness would befall his... friend... if that was what he could call her. He listened to her strong voice tell him to leave for a split second before allowing his senses to slip away into the unknown darkness that welcomed him like the steaming waters of a hot spring. The white wolf vanished into thin air like a spark snuffed out by the wind that grabbed it up. Dark, lush grass spread beneath his paws like an ugly stain. At first he thought the grass was stained with blood falling from the sky, but then he realized the grass was black. It wasn’t a sinister color of black, it was just black. Just plain old boring regular black. He didn’t remember the dwarfing shadowed mountains with the purplish hue shooting up out of the ground to pierce the red-tinged sky like a mighty army waiting for orders from its general or that the grass grew more sparse until it stretches into brown sand and tumble weeds as far as the eye could see. He blinked and something righted itself over his stark blue eyes like a lens or something sliding into just the right place. The sky churned and pulsed with gray storm clouds, but the clouds were more like thick smoke than anything else. Red lightening forked towards the ground, illuminating the world before retracting like a serpent into the smoke. Shakun’s expression crumpled into stubborn donkey lines as he began to realize just who’s terrain he had stumbled onto. “Child, silly child. What are you doing in my world?” The words rang clear as a bell in his mind and ears, and most importantly, his heart. ”Don’t you know that no mortal being has ever survived my mind?” He could see her know in all of her ugly, attractively devious glory. She had eyes as tricky as a fox’s. They were slender, green, and strangely upturned. Her fur was thick and curly, swirled with bright orange and yellow colors. ”I might just make one exception if I decide what you have to say is interesting enough.” ”You. Stop worrying about your silly war long enough to hear me out.” He knew he was taking a chance being so rude and abrupt, but he didn’t care. If it got her attention, it was worth whatever pain he got. ”Oh, do go on. Anything worth being so rude about absolutely must be worth my time.” Her monotonous voice was laced deeply with venomous sarcasm. ”You helped me once before when I was in trouble. Now someone I know is in trouble and I want to help her. I need your help.” ”What ever made you think I’d help you again?” ”She has something in common with you.” Shakun fell into a deep seated silence that neither of them made a move to break. Venemous eyes considered him from where she was perched on her colorless stone for what seemed like an eternity before she finally moved. She uncurled and stepped off the rock, neither graceful nor clumsy. “You know what I require. I won’t take no for an answer this time, fat head.” She began to waver and fade, but she held him there with her eyes like an anchor holding its ship in place. ”In return I give you your freedom and take your mind gift. You think or thought that you need my help, but the truth is that you had the power in you to complete your task all along. You never needed my help. All you have gained now is a debt and more painful changes, in heart, in soul, and in spirit. You will now be able to find your own path and connections. New connections that have nothing to do with those despicable gods that held your heart captive. You’re free now, Shakun. Free as a bird that has relinquished its prison. Now all you have to give me... is the same.” Before he could even open his mouth to reply, Shakun looked up into her bright green eyes and was thrown back into the blackness as if hurled by an invisible force. ”Hurry...,” Shakun snorted once to clear his nose of liquid and forced his eyes open. He was dazed and weak despite his long sleep, but he pushed himself onto his stomach, showing no sign of surprise at the sight of the strange wolf. She probably would have hurt them already if she had intended any harm. His muscles strained and stretched as he pulled himself to him paws, meadow grass slick with metallic smelling blood beneath his paws. He paused uncertainly in front of the dark shield, staring at it intently. Would it hurt him if he touched it with his nose? Suddenly his snout struck the shield of ribbon, the soul ribbon of the wolf he had left in mortal peril. He felt the serenity return and flood him with new purpose, barely noticing the new feeling of pulsing beneath his paws. New color seemed to stain the roots of his fur, as though the new purpose had changed the color of his being. I’m coming...

Zilla watched at the wolf stood up, walking over to the edge of the shield without as much as a glance back at her. She frowned at him, standing up as well. "Well, Riz, I don't think he knows any manners." she commented as the shield rippled around them, shifting into a ribbon that twisted and turned in dark colors. The wolf simply stared at it, a frown fixed on her jaws as she turned to the male. "This is from an Amasite." she said, the comment not a question. She paused, looking back at the dragon that still stared at the pup. "Riz, could you stay with this pup? I have a feeling that this wolf is in trouble, or is about to be such." the slightly deranged look faded from her eyes, Riz twisting around until he was as big as she was, sitting beside the pup and nodding. Zilla dipped her head to him, turning to pad up next to the wolf. The ribbon was still shifting, pulsing, as it circled overhead, her eyes following its movements. "Lead the way." She muttered, the ribbon flying up, hesitating, and then shooting off in a direction. Zilla looked at the wolf ignoring the change he seemed to be going through, then spread her wings and took off after the thing, not waiting to see if the wolf followed.
Her entire being seemed to be throbbing, her claws digging into the ground. The wolves around her kept lunging at her body, trying to wake her up from the dream she knew she wouldn't wake up from for at least until the next day. She was trapped in her own mind, but she knew what was going on around her. Above her, the alpha male stood tall, glaring down at her shape that seemed to be growing smaller by the moment.
Trapped inside her mind, she tossed and turned. Opening an eye to see that the two had gone had send shockwaves through her body, but it was worth it. They were gone.. And she could wake up.
That was when her eyes flew open, gasping as the pain hit her like a slap in the face. The male that towered over her laughed, Sorin left to glare at him. Her upper lip was pulled back in a snarl, the ends of her fur ending the change to black. But she still couldn't stand up, she still couldn't move from where she laid, pain lacing her like ropes, keeping her body limp and open to any attack. Her fur was stained in spots, red blots covering her body from head to tail. She couldn't move, she had to use her entire will just to keeep her eyes open.
Tero Standing in vengeance
Tero gazed down at the pathetic female for a moment longer before turning to the wolf that stood closest to him. "Kill her." He said in a calm tone, turning away from the scene to face the rest of his pack. "The alpha female of these lands is dead. Only her weak pack members remain. We will hunt them down and kill them all, and as a added bonus, we will have extra help so that we don't need to lift a paw to do it. We will defeat them as they destroyed us. Revenge is our's!" He called out to the crowd, his words greeted by a large cheer that echoed, going on for what seemed forever. Then something happened that he would have never expected.
Iyio Thou shalt not be betrayed under my gaze
Iyio stood up, her eyes challenging her alpha. She stepped forward, coming to a stop only when she stood at the base of the rock the wolf stood at. "Tero," she said, pausing as she "Your revenge has turned your heart into nothing but a black void. Have you told these wolves what you plan to do after you get the lands?" He voice was filled in venom, turning her head to look over her shoulder at the rest of the pack. "He plans to kill all of us so he can use his beings to enter our bodies and form a elite army." She hadn't needed to speak any louder than average, the words seemed to carry on for her. Anger boiled in her veins as she turned back to look at the alpha. The pack was on her side now. "Let the wolf go, your plans are ruined. Leave these lands, now." She growled, watching as Tero stared down at her, a mixture of anger and surprise on his face. A smirk was placed firmly on her jaws, and she watched as he jumped down to land beside her. Without warning he lounged at her, but she dodged him easily. A perk to having speed as one of her powers. "Admit it, you are finished." She spoke, laughter in her voice... until she looked at the pack. They were all looking at her, anger in their eyes. She heard Tero laugh in the background, her eyes instead following the actions of the pack. They were coming at her. They thought what she said was a lie... But how? They knwe it as much as she did! "Did you think half these wolves came here willingly? Most of them owe debts to me, or are being brainwashed you foolish wolf." Iyio took another step back, then jumped, landing on the rock that Tero had been standing on moments ago, and then the world slowed down around her. All she heard was a gasp, and spun around and saw the female, the one that a wolf had their teeth to her neck, the one that she had help capture... The wolf was staring at her, fear clearly in her eyes. The wolf whined a moment after that, her eyes closing and her body shaking. Iyio didn't have time for that. Not now. She took the wolf by the neck, dragging her across the clearing. The spell she had placed the wolves under would only work for a short amount of time.. after a few more seconds it would wear off and... She heard a loud snarl, and felt something heavy barrel into her side. She yipped as she hit the ground, skidding into the roots of a tree. She looked up to see Tero, anger flared in his eyes. "Fine, you want to be the little hero? We'll take your life instead!" He snarled, grasping her by the neck. He picked her up, her paws only just brushing the ground. "Fine! So be it you filthy bag of bones! Kill me, and watch your pack shatter to pieces!" She snarled, but the damage was already done. All she could do was throw around worthless threats she could never back up. That last spell was all she could handle.. anymore and she would end up killing herself. She was thrown to the ground, wolves instantly circling her. She jumped to her paws, snarling as a wolf blocked every possible escape. There were even wolves in the air, circling in case she tried to jump. Little did they know that this was how it had been planned all along. Little did they all know that Sorin was standing up, trying her best to stop what was about to happen. But as Tero stepped up to Iyio, she felt the first fear she had really ever felt. She heard him chanting, and the next she knew, the sky had turned pitch black, and things were rising up front the ground. Then she felt something grab her, and that was the end of it.
Sorin watched in horror as things rose up from the ground, turning the sky black. They flew with what looked like bat wings, their figures a mixture of wolf and various other... things. She shrank back, the pain fading, but something else replaced it. Something else she couldn't describe. Her heart was pounding, pain still laced in her veins. She was powerless without her ribbon, and these things were starting to spread, covering the sky in a blanket of them. Then she saw the things rear back, and gasped. Her ribbon had cut a hole through them, the others retreating to where they wouldn't be touched by it. The next she knew, the ribbon was wrapped around her, and she was only the ground, unable to move again. This time for pain and the fact her strength was simply... gone. Even though she had her ribbon with her, there was no way she would be able to get to safety, much less stand. She was left unguarded, helpless. Then she felt something land beside her, her eyes opening to see a bright light that nearly blinded her, laughter filling the air. The light, even with her eyes closed, seemed warm.. but it was dark? Sorin couldn't think of it any longer, if she was to die she would simply die. There was no getting around it, she was too weak to go on.
